This … this is one purty update! Likin' it so far!

One suggestion, though: Could you make it so that you can zoom on the forum page (and perhaps the main page, too?) on iPad?

Re: Dragonball and your kids

I was actually introduced to Dragon Ball by a relative – my brother – when I was a young child. He was a huge fan of the series back in the mid-2000's, where manga was still in its heyday over here. We used to have matches in Budookai 2. I never won any of them, but I liked the game and the characte...

And there we have the reason why you should translate kami-sama as God in the context of Dragon Ball, guys :D

Re: French dubs of DB, DBZ, and GT

I apologize in advance if this question is redundant, but are the uncut French DVDs available as singles? No the uncut only exist as box , that is the last french release for the original series and kaze didn't talk about a new release (kaze had the dragon ball right now in france) but they are reg...

Re: How do your DB language preferences relate to others?

My preference is mostly to consume any media in its original language, as long as it is possible for me to do so. For instance, I watched Dragon Ball Z dubbed on TV back when it was airing here, but I was only watching it dubbed because it was the only way for me – at least that I knew of – to watch...

Re: Cha-La Head-Cha-La - Genki Dama & Lyrics question

Didn't Toei get some manga drafts in advance? Those could be the reason they knew the significance of the Genki-Dama.

Re: Manga Translations?

The Danish translation was most likely based off of the German translation, which I haven't read, but apparently it was pretty accurate. The Norwegian translation might have been based on the Danish one. As for the Danish translation itself, it seems pretty accurate as well, although the language se...

Re: Your Dream Composer

I think Noriyuki Iwadare would make for a Kickass Kikuchi replacement, his jazzy tunes with brass from Ace Attorney remind me so much of kikuchi. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V9dK9hV2E0Q I think something similar to Iwadare's Grandia score would fit early Dragon Ball like a glove. Also, Uematsu?...

Re: Favorite International Dub?

I think I've made it pretty obvious in the past, but I'm a pretty big fan of the Danish dub. The voices are great, especially Caspar Philipson's Son Goku, the dialogue is well-adapted, even though it used the French version as a base, and while it has its flaws, such as the fact that it's not even c...

Re: Help Guide for DBZ Funimation Singles DVDs (links + scre

Thanks for this very helpful guide! I'm currently hunting down the singles … dang it, man, these days they are just about the only way to get the show in 4:3 with English subtitles (and the English dub with Faulconer's score is a neat curiousity, I guess ... Japanese audio all the way, though.) , an...

Re: Hinorobu Kageyama: The Legend

When I think Dragon Ball music, the first thing I think about is Kageyama's performances. He fits Dragon Ball perfectly, and although the show has produced some good songs snice his departure from the franchise, they don't compare to the masterpieces that Hironobu Kageyama sung. Happy Birthday to th...

Whow ... that was pretty unexpected! I'm pretty surprised that nobody delivered their stories, but that being said, I'm happy that I won! It was great to be in the tournament and read and critique everyone's stories, while also getting constructive criticism for your own stories. I definately learnt...

Funny thing about that, the Big Green dub and the Danish dub, outright state that Tullece is Goku's brother.
Didn't the Danish dub also call Tullece "Radits", or was that just the Swedish dub?
