Re: "Getting Used To" The Original Version
Hardest: Goku's voice, but this didn't take very long, once I started listening to it with an open mind I was hooked. Easiest: everything else really. I was already familiar somewhat with the japanese version, as we had a collection of clips on our computer in the early. The scene that got me hooked...

Re: How were you introduced to the series?
I can't remember the details, but I do recall my brothers watching the namek saga on toonami and I was curious to see what it was. We also had a lot of amv's and clips in japanese and english.

No. He wouldn't be much help to Son Gohan and Kuririn, besides everyone on namek was completely out of his league.

Re: Iconic scenes ruined by the dub?
So I finally saw Gohan go SS2 in Japanese and by gosh the dub didn't half ruin it. The crappy monologue aside they didn't use Gohan Angers! Instead they used the HTC track. No wonder I never felt anything whenever I watched that scene. I totally understand now why a lot of folks had that down as th...

Re: Who is your favorite character and why?
Hmm this is going to be difficult. Dragonball: Son Goku, I love his innocence but also how he has that dark side to him. (Kiling mercilessly) Dragon ball Z: Son Gohan up to the end of cell saga, he was always my favourite character from when I was a kid. Boo saga Gohan did have his moments aswell. K...

Re: Things you hated, but then they grew on you overtime.
Freeza. The dub is to blame for this, the way they protray Freeza is just so annoying, unecessary jokes constantly like he's a stand up comedian. When I watched the original I was shocked to see how different he was from the dub. I love his original personality a polite tyrant that will stab you thro...

Re: Things you loved, but then they became a pain in the ass
Two things: First being the funimation dub. I use to be obsessed with it and hated the original, I thought funimation was accurate. However since I started watching the original I realised how much the dub butchered the show and so I developed a distaste for it. Second thing: fake namek filler and t...

I thought Gohan and Kuririn were in the same age group. Krillin being slightly older, same with bulma. This was during namek.

Re: What is the lamest thing to come out of modern DBZ?
-Lack of Onio. I have no problems with the series returning to its slapstick gag-manga origins as it already did that post-Cell Games. But since they are, I want to see Onio's origin story. -Goku being a child instead of a baby in Dragonball Minus and in Jaco. It had already been established that h...

Re: Differences between san and kun?
They're honorifics/suffixes that indicate the relationship or status between people/characters. Japan is a very hierarchical (and gendered) society. "-kun" (くん) is generally for someone about your own age or younger than you that you are intimately (note: not necessarily sexual) familiar ...

Differences between san and kun?
What is the difference between these two terms? Bulma refers to Goku as "son-kun" and Goten calls trunks "trunks-kun" then You have Gohan refering to Kuririn as "Kuririn-san" what's the difference between the two terms? Do they identify a certain relationship between ch...
