I... bought... orange bricks 8 and 9. Mostly because it has been so long since I've seen these episodes (and never in Japanese), and I don't feel like waiting 3-4 years for the Dragon Box releases. Plus, I already had 1-7, and have no plans of getting rid of them to buy my Dragon Boxes.

Here's mine: Before I get to the point of this e-mail, I'd like to first mention a few things. I'm a long time fan of Dragon Ball Z, and a long time supporter of Funimation's Dragon Ball Z releases. From the VHS releases in the late 90's, to the Season Sets that just recently finished, and now I pla...

(Finally caught up!) 2 days after the announcement, and I'm finally 100% excited for this release. I no longer see the orange bricks as a waste of my money, since it fulfilled its' original purpose: I got to see all of DBZ in Japanese. A dream I'd had since the late 90's. I can only imagine how the ...

By the way, are we finally ready to admit that nobody really wanted the Season Sets; people just put up with them because they thought that was their only option? I mean, after all of the pro-widescreen arguments, it seems that in the end, everyone is happier with the correct aspect ratio. Most def...

I still have 3 seasons to buy, and I'll at the very least buy those and complete that. Oh, I know your pain. I was literally just planning to finish off on the orange bricks today . I think I may still, for the sake of completion (and since I don't feel like parting with these sets for half what I ...

I'm actually dumbfounded. Partially happy, partially angry that I wasted my money and my time on the orange bricks, and partially in a stupor. :(

A friend just got back from Japan and brought along a souvenir. http://img301.imageshack.us/img301/5461/0712091106.jpg Sorry about the blurriness. I would have loved to have Brook X Trunks or Franky X Vegeta, but I love everyone in One Piece, so I don't mind. Going to be ordering all the missing bri...

My collection started in 1998 (or 99, but I can't remember) when Santa brought the Saga of Goku tapes, the first Dragon Ball film, and the first Dragon Ball Z volume, Arrival. I remember being so excited and happy to get them. I haven't watched them in years, but they do, however, sit on a shelf in ...

As long as we got a blu-ray set, I'd be all for this. It's unreasonable to expect Funi to actually add new content for a release such as this, so I may as well set my expectations low. Although a release using the Dragon Box footage as a source, with any un-released footage in the U.S., would be ide...

Are you for real? I think I may just cry. I am ... I am going to cry ... It just had many awesomely priced stuff. I haven't ordered anything from there yet. But, seriously, that just ruined my weekend. Cheer up, it happens to the best of us. I've made the mistake of actually ordering bootlegs on Am...

I'm really glad that my hunch payed off with these sets. Got most of them for $20-25 before prices started to sky rocket. :D

So,,, how 'bout an ebay thread?
Funny, I was just thinking this! Would probably help clear up all these topics that have been popping up recently.

Thus far I have really enjoyed the new score. While the original score is more nostalgic, this new one suits the pace and does a fantastic job of matching the mood of the show. It's a really nice touch.

There are a few scenes that have been emotional for me. Piccolo's death, Kuririn's death (both of them), and... just about any important death in the show!

I don't regret any of my purchases. The orange bricks weren't too expensive, considering it was only $30-40 every four months or so. I never owned these episodes before, and would have wanted them even with the announcement of DBZ in HD.

Also, in case anyone's having trouble navigating the site (especially since it masks the URLs), get to the DBZ figures by clicking "BOUTIQUE" in the navigation menu up top, then "STATUETTES DE COLLECTION", then click the DBZ image in the top row (it's SSJ2 Gohan). Here's a direc...

First volume of the tankobon released after my birth: Volume 9
Closest episode: Dragon Ball episode 73 "Goku's Turn"

It seems as if I was born during the Uranai Baba arc. Makes me want to go back and watch those episodes. :)
