Re: Dragon Ball Z Kai is getting a Castilian dub
It REALLY WAS PRIME TIME for a Spain dub of DBZKai. I REALLY hope they follow France's example by making it awesome and getting rid of ALL THE MISTAKES they inherited from France in the old dub. As opposed to the other Spain dubs, which IIRC slapped the old dubbing terminology onto the Funimation s...

Re: List of Unofficial Broadcasts
English fansub?!? English fansubs of the DBZ series outside of maybe Anime Labs (for the lulz) and for alternate lines not contained in the Funi DBox have relevance in 2023? The hell? Also, bold of Argentina to do bootleg broadcasts of DBZ when Adult Swim Latin America is about to launch with DBZ as...

Re: Blue water dub of episode 71 of og dragon ball
As someone who hasn't paid attention to things, I take it we still don't have better encodes for all the episodes with recordings containing unwatchably choppy audio? (largely affects King Piccolo and 23rd Tenkaichi, and maybe 22nd Tenkaichi I don't remember)

They aired the show, but I think they skipped that episode specifically. Couldn't say why for the life of me.

Re: Kai coming to Hulu on July 1, 2023
Can someone explain to me why ep 71-98 are missing? Every other episode appears to be present and accounted for from Kai 1.0 (ep 1-70) and Kai TFC (99-167/all 69)

Re: The Arabic version of DBS is putting extra clothes on female characters
Haven't spoken here in a while, but what the heck. Not an Arab nor do I speak Arabic, but I've seen some clips and heard some things from people more knowledgeable. IIRC Shen Long was completely censored out from the Pilaf saga (the Arabic dub didn't go further than ep 52 of DB I believe) and the Sa...

Re: Ocean Studios' "Dragon Ball Kai" Dub Turns 10; Still Unreleased
L sadly TOEI has only given Super licences to companies that have either dubbed both Kai 1.0 and TFC or in Bang Zoon's case dubbed neither. The Arabic dub of Kai only covered ep 1-52 (meaning they barely failed to finish the Freeza saga) and yet they still managed to do Super (at least to the end o...

Re: Mystery of the Iberian Spanish Dub Opening (from VIDEOTAKE SUR)
The Castilian Spanish dub did covered the French OP of DB? I thought all they covered OP wise was Makafushigi Adventure, the French OP of Z, Cha La Head Cha La, and Dan Dan Kokoro Hikareteku. AFAIK, none of Spain's dubs covered the French dub of DB. It might be included in soundtracks or something. ...

Wait!! I think I even have a DVD of an edited cut of three episodes of the Buu Saga lying around somewhere. YES, I DO! I haven't watched this in probably fifteen years, and I have no intention of doing so. The disc probably doesn't even work. But I have it. https://i.imgur.com/9eeuGJX.jpg "200...

Re: Obscure dubs
3. They dubbed the censored Funimation english version, meaning that some things deemed non-family-friendly were censored. I thought they dubbed using some Orange Bricks encode, complete with watermarks from wherever they got it from. The OBs were uncut, but cropped to 16:9 and missing Next Episode...

Re: Obscure dubs
What the hell is Jisieno? Has to be a troll. Look at all the versions it's supposedly dubbed in. Yeah, there is, like, jackshit info on the internet about this "Jisieno" thing. Maybe it's a parent and child pulling a sick trick? I also remember seeing an "over 9000" clip once th...

Re: Blue Water GT Dub Sync
This is a wonderful Christmas gift! Thank you! ... though, do you have a list of each point where the Japanese audio had to be swapped in (ala the edit guide made for the Harmony Gold reconstruction)? If you're comfortable with the idea, could you also post a list of where each source was used per e...

Re: Obscure dubs
Most of those are non English foreign language dubs. How did you decide they were obscure? -The Galician dub has its fair share of reruns on TV G and is usually included in Selectsvision's releases IIRC. -I don't know how obscure the Arab dub is to Arab audiences, but I doubt it's that obscure, cons...

Re: 30th Anniversary Blu-Ray vs. DVD Singles (Episode 68/118 onward)
The singles are certainly "purer" from a dubbing perspective. The remastered dub post ep 67 is a mixed bag. It's arguably more "consistent" with the remastered dub pre ep 68, and is meant to be paired with it in the same way the original dub was meant to be paired with the Saban ...

Re: the Orande bricks?
In my opinion, the Orange Bricks at their very worse looked worse than the Season Blu-rays at their worst (the line erasure can get really bad at times). At the same time, at their best, they looked better than the Season Blu-rays at their best (due to not sharpening/smearing the image). In any case...

Re: Dragon Ball on MeTV's Kids Block? Yay or Nay?
If they're bringing stuff like Tom and Jerry and Looney Tunes on there... the question is whether they'll be censored to at least the standards of modern-day Cartoon Network/Boomerang broadcasts, if not more so. If they are, well, the only versions of DB meant to fit broadcast standards (as opposed ...

Re: Dragon Ball Kai: The optional episodes
Well, this is certainly an interesting idea... but I would suggest that you keep the Goz and Mez stuff since despite being cut from the original run of Kai, the hell filter from the Boo saga keeps the reference to it. Princess Snake, however, isn't referenced elsewhere, so feel free to snip it.

It could also be because all HD content on Blu-ray is widescreen by definition, with uncropped 4:3 footage being represented through pillar boxing.

Re: Why is it that other anime geet pristine home/anniversary releases, yet the Dragon Ball franchise keeps getting ruin
There was no need for the garbage fake widescreen or DNR smear fest and hack slash partial redubbing (Emphasis mine) Is there any evidence that Dale Kelly did uncut recaps for 68-70? Even if he did, there's a scene in IIRC ep 68 where a line would have to be removed and two lines from after the eye...

Re: Dragonball GT DVD singles titles
Did the GT dub ever get changed in any later release? Besides getting the Japanese music over the awful dub track, did they ever replace the narrator or anything else? I don't believe there were changes other than the music to the dub itself. I could be wrong, but I heard that the remastered GT dub...
