Whilst it was said in the BoG movie and I can't recall whether the same was said in the 'Super' adapted episode, Goku getting his power from others also contradicts how he felt about having to rely on others to give him the power to achieve the SSG form.

I think the fact that it was made clear that there was really only one wish that could be chosen renders any other choice fairly irrelevant.

I mean, yeah - might have been mildly interesting to know what Jiren might have wished for - but it would never have been granted anyway.

A measure of how good an episode is, for me, how re-watchable it is.
The Goku/Freeza + 17 fight in this episode never gets old. I've lost count of the number of times have re-watched it. It hit all the right notes for me and is, in my opinion, the best fight the franchise ever gave us.

What really made this scene for me was them having Goku be in his regular Ssj form, the form he used to previously take Freeza down. Great episode!

Highlight for me, though, was Goku & Freeza fighting together. Not only was it superb, but it was deeply ironic too! Let it sink in for a moment; Goku & Freeza fighting in perfect synch - something that Goku didn't seem to be able to do with Vegeta.

Well, not a terrible episode in itself, but I didn't really enjoy it. Most because it was so terribly predictable and absolutely nothing we haven't seen before.
