Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Why?! https://pbs.twimg.com/media/E6gm7enXEAAfJuN?format=jpg&name=large Why would they give us one of the best shots of vegeta (and his beautiful brows) in the manga thus far only to take it away seconds later. I'm so annoyed :problem: I was on the fence earlier but having seen more pages i can ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Never liked the look of ssj3 (lack of eyebrows) so ofc vegeta get a new eyebrowless form.....

Maybe it'll grow on me if it comes with a distinct fighting style and isn't just a simple power boost but I'm not not optimistic about that

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Read the chapter. It was pretty good and I like the action and paneling. Not a big fan of granola's wish giving him access to so many techniques especially when the "cost" of his wish isn't much of a sacrifice all things considered. Also vegeta provoking granola seems to be intentionally p...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

That said the vegeta/beerus segment felt off to me. When has vegeta ever been weighed down by the sins of his past? I like that plot point in the moro arc bc vegeta was back on planet namek after so much time had passed. He did horrible things to them so it's understandable old feelings of regret w...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Pretty good setup chapter. I like seeing the daily life of granola and the little refresher course about the dragon balls. The new dragon balls and the different factions doing their own things. Granolah is starting to grown on me That said the vegeta/beerus segment felt off to me. When has vegeta e...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

So has anyone mentioned the fact that the whole "The Universe's strongest warrior is about to be born" isn't just a promotional tagline. If you look at the trailer you can match up the Kanji with the Oracle Fish's Speech Bubbles. The Oracle fish is saying this, so it's more than likely ac...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Pretty sure he never suggested stopping training with Whis. He can still hone his skills with Whis as a teacher. Stepping aside so Whis can test MUI Goku may be a singular instance (one which makes sense since this happens after the Moro arc). Now correct me if I am wrong, but i didn't see any tran...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

So if vegeta decided not to train with whis anymore and decided he doesn't want ultra instict after "training" for yrs with an angel then what is he even doing there? Is he just there to watch goku? People seem to like vegeta "going his own way" but what does that mean at this po...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

It hasn't been confirmed oatmil/granola are tuffles but it's not a bad theory at this point. Assuming they are this could end up having some dr raichi/hatchiyak vibes. Physically weak scientist holding a grudge against the saiyans and building a super warrior machine to eliminate them Obviously a re...

Re: Vegeta's current development is really a good change?

I think the issue is the story often builds Vegeta up but doesn’t fully deliver. It’s like in the end someone is like but Goku is the main character so he has to always get the final focus. Even though I was content with Vegeta’s role at the end of the Moro arc I almost feel with all the build up w...

Re: Vegeta's current development is really a good change?

This is something that has bothered me as well. Overall i think vegeta has had good moments in modern dragon ball but it's been kind of awkward when viewed as a whole. Vegetas' interest in cabba early on was great to me. To see vegeta motivate another fellow saiyan and push him to be the best was gr...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Decent chapter I'm interested to see the repercussions beerus will face for merus' erasure. Considering the next arc has heen confirmed i don't think EoZ is coming up next. I loved the art and moro going crazy from absorbing all that power. The ending was a bit too closely resembling the buu arc ima...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

To explain why I'm not a fan of it as it currently stands, this kind of energy manipulation with your own ki, along with gigantification, is perfect for someone who's been training to use Spirit Control... in other words, this would be a perfect thing for Vegeta to do. This is my biggest issue righ...

Re: Is Goku's stupidity at least partially an act?

I don't think so. I always felt this theory is just people trying to reconcile gokus "stupid" behavior and the fact that he's a grown man. Unless I'm missing something I can't remember a time where this was hinted at either.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Whis stopping moros attack with a single finger is hilarious, Whis is still on another level. Also I'm assuming the grand priest calling all GoDs to zenos is obviously going to lead into the next arc. Will it be the "angel arc" ppl have been predicting since forever now? I'm still a little...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

And if the above is true it sounds totally irresponsible for Goku to do something that dumb with someone so dangerous Well, it really depends on exactly why he's doing it - if it's for the reasons Merus reflects on in Chapter 63, then it's perhaps naive, but it would be characteristic. However, we ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Not looking forward to reading about reactions to Vegeta's ""character regression"" in this chapter, despite the fact that he immediately goes against what he says. He wants to atone for his sins on Namek, but he's still allowed to be frustrated. Vegeta is allowed to be Vegeta. ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Minor nitpick: doesn't make sense for the Namekians to be praying to Gods, or the Dragon Balls. They know where the Dragon Balls come from and how they're created, and they should know that being a God is a job anyone can take. Moori (pretty sure that was him) should be the new Grand Elder and resp...

Re: Can they fix Minus in the new movie?

I really don't think there's much that can be done to fix minus. Another thing that really irritates me about minus that not many talk about is how vegeta survives his planets destruction. In the original manga dodoria reveals that freeza intentionally sent vegeta away to spare his life because he w...
