Re: How would you compare Dragon Ball’s revival to something like Star Wars?

It's a very subjective question. So for me, in general, I would say that I have enjoyed Dragon Ball Super more than the Star Wars sequel trilogy. Both have had their ups and downs, but Dragon Ball Super has felt more consistent overall and true to Dragon Ball whereas the new Star Wars movies feel ve...

Hey, thejeremymenace! I was curious if you were gonna continue work on the Dragon Radar and perhaps try to implement support for the recently announced Toei Blu-rays of the original movies. Thanks!

Re: Dragon Ball Movies HD Remaster - Amazon Video/Netflix Japan - Discussion Thread

I've been meaning to buy the Dragon Box Movies but have held off. Thank God I did. Going all in on this Blu-ray release. I don't trust FUNimation to release these unedited (replacing original Japanese text & title cards), let alone release them at all. Ever since I've gotten into remuxing, I've ...

Re: Is Ultra Instinct Goku’s final transformation?

No. As long as Dragon Ball keeps going, Goku will get more and more transformations/recolors, and sometimes Vegeta too. Agreed. No way is UI the final transformation. As you said, as long as Dragon Ball continues, so will new transformations. Even though a certain transformation may feel like the u...

http://www.kanzenshuu.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=34820 This topic isn't really about information, but I still feel it is very important. The Dragon Radar program written by thejeremymenace is a godsend for those with the R2 Dragon Boxes but cannot enjoy them to the fullest due to the lack of...

Re: Why aren't the Hunt for Dragonballs and Red Ribbon Army Arc not as well received?

Though, IMO, the real travesty is how underappreciated the 21st Tenkaichi Budokai and Piccolo Daimao arcs are. That's my top two favourite arcs in the franchise right there, but good luck finding more than a handful of people who'd even put one them in their top 5, if they even bother to rank the p...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" FUNimation Home Release Thread

That's a shame. As a purist, I like to have the original elements all intact, but I don't know if I can justify spending over $100 for a single Japanese Blu-ray set.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" FUNimation Home Release Thread

Do these Blu-rays have English text for the episode title cards and OPs/EDs, like they are broadcast on Toonami? I'm assuming there's only 1 video track, so they replaced the Japanese title cards and credits with the English ones. Unless perhaps there's a second track with the original title cards a...

Re: General Website Goofs/Errors

The listed air dates for Dragon Ball Super episodes 120 and 121 are incorrect. They are listed as Dec 19 and Dec 26, when they should be the 17th and 24th, respectively.

Re: Is being able to watch original DBZ in a non-cropped format for a reasonable price too much to ask?

As well as the Funimation Blu-rays are selling now, I'd say it will be a while before Dragon Ball Z gets a re-release of any kind. Even a 4K release sounds like a fantasy at this point. If what has been said about Funimation's master for DBZ is true, I highly doubt they will ever attempt it. When, o...

Re: Filler that the series needed.

More recently, I think the first part of the Universe Survival arc could've exchanged some of its filler episodes (the Tenshinhan dojo episode, the second #17 episode where they fight the poachers, Goku vs. Gohan, and more that I'm not thinking of) with episodes that explored more of the other unive...

Resurrection 'F' Extended Edition home release?

Battle of Gods got an extended edition release in Japan, and was bundled together with the theatrical edition in the American blu-ray. Ever since the extended edition of Resurrection 'F' aired on TV in Japan during the Future Trunks arc, I've been expecting some news on a home video release. Over a ...

Re: Dragon Radar ~ English subs & audio for your Dragon Box [v1.1.0 "Freeza"]

Don't know if this is just me, but episode 10 of Dragon Ball was mysteriously missing the subtitles for the ED. I went back and checked the Blue Brick DVD, and they were there, so I don't know if something went wrong in the whole retiming & remuxing process or what. They were easy enough to add ...

Re: Dragon Radar ~ English subs & audio for your Dragon Box [v1.0.4 "Ebifurya" released!]

Apologies for the double post. I don't see an edit button. But I just wanted to ask quickly what the "Signs" subtitles were on certain episodes. Looking at them through SubExtractor, they look like they would've been with the other subtitles on a single track on the Blue Bricks, but here t...

Re: Dragon Radar ~ English subs & audio for your Dragon Box [v1.0.4 "Ebifurya" released!]

I'm in the early process of re-ripping my Blue Bricks with DVDFab, and decided to re-test some of the early episodes in question. They now work! Episodes 7 and 14 did not reproduce the first error, and episode 8 did not reproduce the second error. So, I guess DVD Shrink was the issue. I had thought ...

Re: Dragon Radar ~ English subs & audio for your Dragon Box [v1.0.4 "Ebifurya" released!]

Rips from DVD Shrink typically aren't 1:1 copies of the DVDs, often causing recompression and a resulting loss of quality. You'll need a 1:1 rip for best quality and compatibility. 1) DVD Shrink has a lossless, zero compression option. 2) I highly doubt any compression or loss of quality would resu...

Re: Dragon Radar ~ English subs & audio for your Dragon Box [v1.0.4 "Ebifurya" released!]

Okay, I've used the Dragon Radar on about 40 episodes of the original Dragon Ball, and I'm a coming across a couple of errors. The first, most common error, appears in the Dragon Radar command window: "Retiming audio... Delaycut had non-zero exit code (1). Aborting." So far, this has happe...

Re: Dragon Radar ~ English subs & audio for your Dragon Box [v1.0.4 "Ebifurya" released!]

Is this lossless? I've always ripped my DVDs and Blu-rays using MakeMKV, never to VOB folders with programs like DVDFab, which looks like it tries to compress the video and audio, or am I mistaken?
