Re: Are Super Saiyan Berserk and Super Saiyan Full Power the same form?

My take has always been that the forms are indeed fundamentally the same, but because of the differences between Universe 6 and 7 Saiyans, they manifest differently. With Kale, she couldn't tap into her latent Oozaru potential in her base form like Broly did, so when she raged out, she instead raged...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread

The way I see it, 17 and Gohan seem to be in a similar level of power to Ikari Broly before he powered up further to fight Goku, the one that was stronger than SSG Vegeta.

Still fodder to SSB, but definitely solidly at a massively high power level compared to anything before god power came up.

Re: If Ki Increases In Density As Fighters Continue To Train & Grow...

It all comes down to the very nature of Ki itself. It's an expression of the body, soul, and mind into a supernatural and tangible form for use. The most common users of Ki are martial artists, and thus Ki reflects how they use it. Rather than to destroy and whatnot, Ki is used most often for augmen...

Re: Return of Brutal fights in dragon ball super 2

The manga has had some gruesome moments in the recent Moro arc. As for the anime, I think Japan's censorship rules have become a little stricter in recent years, right? Pretty much. Even things like severed limbs and laser holes through bodies is pushing it for a show like DBS in the kind of time s...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread

No one denies that the likes of Beerus, Quitela, and Belmod are the strongest among their class. However, what CAN be contested is just how much that difference ultimately is. Some folks believe that they are many times superior, whilst I and other folks believe that the difference is negligible in ...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread

Overall, I think it's just safer to put all the Gods of Destruction in the same general range of power, with the differences between them not being significant enough to definitively say who's the strongest beyond a drawn-out 1v1. The level is treated as a general tier to compare to in all mediums, ...

Re: When Did The "Legendary" Super Saiyan Form Become A Joke?

I think super saiyan became a "joke" mainly in Boo arc, first because of how easily Goten and Trunks could do it and then how quickly super saiyan 2 was surpassed, by both Boo and the super saiyan 3 form. In the Artificial Humans arc, despite the nonsense of technology surpassing a legendary transf...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread

About the scaling Toriyama provided. I personally view it as a ×10 for each level. That would mean Beerus is 10,000 times stronger than SSGod and that Whis is 100,000 times stronger than Beerus. Don’t you think that’s a little bloated? Not only SSGod would seem an ant in comparison to Beerus, but B...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread

There's also the fact that only SSB Fusions are implied to truly rival Gods of Destruction in raw power.

And with said Fusions having base forms equal to their fusees' god forms, it really plays up just how bloated things have become.

Re: Am I The Only DB Fan Who Likes Jiren?

Another thing about anime Jiren I preferred is the core conflict. While the general conceit is still the same, namely that Jiren doesn't trust other people to pick up where strength fails, I felt it was a better executed character development than in the manga. In the manga, it's this "wishing to ap...

Re: Am I The Only DB Fan Who Likes Jiren?

I liked Jiren in his debut chapter in the manga. He showed a strong sense of justice to save the ppl before his talk with Toppo. And when he outright refused to get involved in the participation of other universe's destruction until the opportunity to get his wish. Conflict in one's beliefs always ...

Re: Am I The Only DB Fan Who Likes Jiren?

I like him.

To me, he represents a parody of the "strongest in DBZ ever!" that has come to cause stagnation in this franchise to some degree, like how the Kamikaze Fireballs are a parody of Toei's magical girl properties.

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread

I do seriously hope we'll see Beerus stop being put on a pedestal. It's crazy enough that he's in the same ballpark as SSB Fusion, and I feel like we need to dial down the crazy for the time being.

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread

While direct statements haven't been made in the main series, feats analysis and scaling put it at the MINIMUM in the same ballpark as SSB Fusion a.k.a. beyond any God of Destruction, but I think it's intended to be much higher as the new "even greater than Fusion or God of Destruction" type of pow...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread

Thus far, the only power of a fusee that HASN'T been definitively surpassed via Fusions has been Ultra Instinct. Somehow, this power eludes the potential of even SSB Fusion, though the latter certainly approaches that level through raw power. Could be that, unlike other forms and power-ups, this one...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread

My take has always been and still is that 17 and Gohan are at the same level of strength, above SSG but below SSB, but 17 has several other advantages as mentioned that solidly put him above Goku's son. So, the 2 of them fighting would be like when Piccolo and 17 fought years ago. Relatively equal i...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread

I dunno, I just feel like base Goku and Vegeta should be at the very least as strong as the strongest foe before god power came along. I fall in the camp that believes base forms are incredibly strong now for the Saiyans being focused on, and nothing has really convinced me that there's been any sig...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread

BASE FORMS! But seriously, where the heck do we put them now? So far, it seems like the Broly movie is solidly the baseline for both manga and anime continuities, so it should serve as identical in both version of events. Base Broly was very much equal to base Goku and Vegeta in raw power, wit...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread

Where do people place Super Saiyan Royal Blue Vegeta compared to the three different times Goku used Ultra Instinct Omen? He wouldn't be as strong as the final Ultra Instinct Omen that began to overpower Jiren obviously but was he superior to the second time it was used against Kefla? He beat God o...
