I'll just say; while I like pretty much all Dragon Ball characters in their own right, Future Trunks is probably my favorite fictional character, period. His character, story, etc just hit the right note for me when I first saw his appearance on Toonami, and been a fan ever since.

So this "arc" is really just the intro all over again, but from Future Trunks POV.

Future Trunks is one of my favorite characters, in fiction in general. Its a freakin' miracle when I come across his fanfics, period. That was a fun little chapter. Bringing DB back down to less universal and serious stakes is a nice touch.

It was a fun little story. Can be considered self-contained from the looks, if just to give us a "what were Goten and Trunks up to?" kind of thing. If it gets expanded a bit, I'm good with that too. What I want to know; does Bulma remember Pilaf, Mai, and Shuu? Because at their current age...

Well, at least the new special is about Future Trunks. One of my favorite characters in all fiction.

Yeah, the manga TOP was rushed and very underwhelming.

Not saying the anime was perfect during this arc, but the highs were MUCH higher.
