Re: Madman singles missing a lot of recaps and NEPs?

So there isn't a home release that has them for every episode?

Madman singles missing a lot of recaps and NEPs?

So between Pioneer and Madman, I've heard Madman is the superior release. And this may be true for the earliest sagas, especially the first volume of the Saiyan saga where Pioneer tried to make it into some sort of movie and Madman has the actual divided episodes. But I noticed Madman is missing a l...

Weird. Maybe it's just for the Saiyan and Namek saga then.

I got a really weird batch of DBZ singles, anyone know more?

So I got some DBZ singles, Saiyan and Namek saga, from Australia. But the weird thing is, it has the numbering on it like all of Madman's singles, but it says both Madman and Pioneer on the cover. I thought Pioneer only released the singles in the US. They're also all region 4, which is Australia, b...

I do really love some of the cutscenes in Kakarot, just wish it had better music backing them up. Some of the storyboarding and direction in these scenes really stand out. https://i.imgur.com/V3u9ceg.jpg https://i.imgur.com/o8EHp66.jpg https://i.imgur.com/eQHm3Oi.jpg https://i.imgur.com/vzpUBO1.jpg...

Haven't seen a chunk of the Dragon Ball anime, any of the Dragon Ball movies, the Dr. Wheelo movie. Path to Power also I think.

Don't think so. Manga and anime in general are much more huge in the east.

Which could've been interesting if only Pan had been able to go SSJ. We finally got to see some female Super Saiyans in the anime now, so if we ever do get to the point where we see an older Pan / Bulla, there's no excuse.

Re: Who else likes Chi-Chi more than Bulma?

Well, I'm in the same boat. As a kid I hated Bulma, and that was mostly because during the Namek saga, whenever something cool was going down, it suddenly swapped to a scene of Bulma getting chased by dinosaurs or big crabs or whatever. That annoyed me so much. Now I don't care as much, and Bulma do...

Re: explain the pseudo retcons in DB

Burdock and Gine being loving parents just feels at odds with Raditz being a piece of shit and Goku being a bad seed until he got amnesia and was raised by Grandpa Gohan. Toriyama seemed intent to remove Goku’s earthly upbringing as defining him the further he goes and I’ve never been a fan. He doe...

Re: explain the pseudo retcons in DB

I understand people's complaints when it comes to Bardock. That special, even though it's a Toei creation, is a lot older than Minus and everyone fucking loves it. Bardock is shown being a badass who kicks ass and doesn't afraid of anything. In Minus, he gets shafted a bit. In the Broly movie, he es...

Re: Uub in Dragon Ball GT

That is not an issue specific to Uub, but more of an issue with GT in general. People complain that Super is the Goku & Vegeta show sometimes, but GT really was the Goku & Vegeta show. Side characters were barely relevant, and even when they did show up, it was only to get shitstomped so Go...

Re: Uub in Dragon Ball GT

This is my first post on this forum, and I ask for your understanding on any mistakes. Dragon Ball GT and UUB While watching Dragon Ball GT I noticed that UUB's character was wasted, I would like to point out that Son Goku at the end of Dragon Ball Z went with UUB for training to make him his succe...

Re: How would you have written Kaioshin in the Buu arc?

I'd write him to be calm and composed as he was when he first showed up, instead of the Supreme Kai who lost his absolute shit every time one of the Z-fighters annihilated a weakling. Make him stronger than Yakon and especially Pui-Pui. I'm pretty sure Supreme Kai claims he's stronger than Frieza, y...

Re: Favorite to Least Favorite Stage of Gohan: Analysis and Ranking

It doesn't help that the first thing we see of older Gohan is Great Saiyaman. I don't understand how he unironically thinks that outfit and posing is cool. Maybe he sustained long term brain injury when Recoome kicked the shit out of him, or something. It's hard to take anything else from him serio...

Re: Favorite to Least Favorite Stage of Gohan: Analysis and Ranking

I just think it's a shame the time skip happened immediately after Gohan reached SSJ2. I would've loved to see a bit more of SSJ2 Gohan at that age, perhaps eventually getting better mastery over it. What we see at the world tournament, tho many people seem to love it, is merely a shell of what he w...

Re: Favorite to Least Favorite Stage of Gohan: Analysis and Ranking

He may not have the same fighting spirit as a pure Saiyan, but neither did Future Trunks. Yet he got shit done and was prepared when he needed to be. Gohan had been in tough situations regularly up until that point. And like Vegeta said, peace time is no excuse to stop training. There's always event...

Re: Favorite to Least Favorite Stage of Gohan: Analysis and Ranking

Goku was there tho, he gave him all the pats on the back he possibly could have. But when it boils down to it, they sat on their ass for hours to unlock his potential only for Gohan to gloriously screw it up. What you said plays a part in it, sure, but what also plays a part is Gohan just becoming l...
