Re: Comparison shots from every single DBZ release

The 30th Blu-ray release is nearly identical to the Season Sets but in 4:3 AR so that's an improvement but is it a huge one considering all of its flaws? In my opinion, no. If I was stuck between the Orange Bricks, Season Sets and the Black Brick then I'd rather go with the OBs since the picture doe...

Thanks, Eledore. It does look as I expected it to be.

Why did you shrink them down to 720p
I previously uploaded screenshots to PostImg too but noticed it downgrades it to 720 so I just switched back to Imgur.

I can't say I'm surprised at the responses my comment attracted but still, wow. You call yourselves better but insult others you disagree with and just because someone claims someone did something to them is enough to you as "proof" without showing actual proof. Come on, get real.

Dragon Box vs Orange Bricks - Screenshot Comparison

The "Orange Bricks" receive a lot of criticism rightly so because for the most part it's a very incompetent release but is it really bad in its entirety? I'd not say so. I compared episode 263 of the Dragon Box vs the Orange Brick and it's pretty decent (minus the cropping). I'm a dude who likes to ...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

Yeah, the reality is that people who give up and spread their thoughts are contributing to making enough cancelations impossible. Why the need for doing that? Why not let people who care try? It's not over before the counter is up! Even if you don't want to make an effort, please stop trying to sto...

Re: Vic Mignogna

I'm pleased that the lawsuit has finally begun so facts and evidence will be used and shown, and if the victims really are victims then they need to show proof. Just because a bunch of people say they saw a flying pig in the sky I'm not going to believe them if they can't prove it, same applies here...

That's just you who has given up.
It's just the reality of the situation. The fans who ordered the 30th Blu-ray release are the same ones who bought the Orange Bricks and the Season Blu-rays.

Besides, FUNimation would never sell a high quality product for only $350. At least $500 or more.

Re: Comparison shots from every single DBZ release

Hey all! After seeing the website Frame Compare used in the FUNi 30th Anniversary release's thread here, and I got inspired to make a few of my own! Mine compare the FUNi Black Brick to the other 3 releases most say are the "best" out there. The Dragon Box Z, DB Kai, and FUNi Raw Reel. You'll notic...

Re: Why didn't Spain get Dragon Ball Kai?

It's possible Selecta Vision were planning on getting raw recordings of the Castillan dub and re-editing it to fit Kai, but ended up nixing the idea, and that's why rumours spread of a dub happening, but it not ending up actually going through. But this is just speculation, of course. I can confirm...

I'm gonna guess the low thousands.
I would assume so too though I'm curious if there's a website to order a human-sized Goku statue.

How much would a Dragon Ball human-sized statue cost?

During FUNimation interviews there's an amazingly big Piccolo statue. My question is, how much does that go for?

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

It's unfortunate but it's not that big of a big deal. Just combine the Level Sets with the Dragon Box and you're good to go.

I doubt we'll ever see a complete, proper HD remaster of Dragon Ball Z because whether it's TOEI or FUNimation they both apply DNR. One more than the other, though.

Re: What's your most recent Dragonball purchase?

I’m not a big statue collector - like, at all - but I saw this in Target and for $25 I really wanted it. https://i.imgur.com/tQPaNdr.jpg Seem like a good price and it is an official statue after all. My favorite Goku statue has always been this one: https://i.imgur.com/zaN0CZD.jpg I'm not a fan who...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

I agree. The Season Sets on DVD and Blu-ray, and the 30th Anniversary Blu-ray release should not be supported at all here but rather offer alternatives or "Wait for a proper release in the future" or "Watch Dragon Ball Kai". Dragon Ball Kai is its own product but at least it's more loyal than FUNima...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

Communities and deals' websites survive by getting a tip/commission from a sale done through a link with the referral ID. It's sort of like those short link urls where you wait like 5secs and then you can access the actual website page, that person is getting a tip regardless of how small it may be....

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

FUNimation moronically released the Level Sets just after they had finished the final Dragon Box Z and back then I was like: "I just spent $400 on a complete boxset of Dragon Ball Z so why should I buy another one again?" and therefore I didn't buy the Level Sets until much later but I do regret, I ...

So? If the total can be pushed back to under 3000, it's not getting produced. I don't see a reason to not try.
So, as I said a lot of them are hardcore but not that hardcore and they're happy with what they saw on the trailers. Some even say "amazing".

"Hardcore" fans won, hardcore fans lost.

Re: Why were 4:3 AR screenshots used on the Orange Bricks?

I've always wondered this too and it's such a shame because it would have sold much more if it was 4:3. It certainly would have. These are screenshots below are directly from "Season 9" and they look damn good, unfortunately it was cropped to a fake 16:9 AR. https://i.imgur.com/k12ztbR.png https://...

Re: Airing the Orange Bricks in 4:3. Good or bad decision?

Dragon Ball Z was never intended to be 16:9 AR so I see what they're trying to do. They got a shitty video source so rather than leave in 16:9 AR they've stretched it to 4:3:AR. What a mess. It went from 4:3 AR to 16:9 AR cropped and then to 4:3 AR stretched. This can't possibly get any worse or wei...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

So it seems like it is indeed possible to cancel the pre orders of this set. And there's not that many people over the limit Funimation put up who have ordered the set. How about the starting a campaign to get people to cancel their pre orders? That might push it so far back that this doesn't get r...
