DBZ Canadian Dub Blu Ray edit

I recently went to the task of using the steelbook footage and editing it to line up with the audio from the Canadian dub after cleaning it up. I've only done 4 episodes so far and have no plans to making publicly available, but I thought I would share a clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=db9eyno...

Re: Funimation's blu-ray film remasters

i meant the 1990's theatre movies were remastered decent Those are actually pretty good. At least the Blu Ray versions of the Double Features, the used DNR, but it still has grain and is pretty sharp. This is actually the same or similar DNR to the last two OB's. I also like them more than the sing...

Buu Saga: 18
He’s 16 in the Buu saga. Not 18. Funimation royally fucked up by saying he was 11 in the Cell Games and calling High School aged Gohan “Adult Gohan”
Damn it, no that is just me messing up my math, smh. Yeah you are right. 9+7 is not 18... it's 16, I'm just an idiot

Re: How old is Gohan in each arc/film?

Beginning of Z: 4 Saiyan fight/Namek: 5 Trunks shows up: 6 Androids/Cell: 9, though after his year in the Room of Spirit and Time he is physically 10 but I'd still say he is 9. Buu Saga: 18 16(editted) End of Z: 28 26 GT: 33-34 31-32 Movie 1: 4 Movie 2/3/4: 5 Movie 5: 6 Movie 6-9: 9 Movie 10-13: 18 16

Re: Screen Cap Request: French GT Special

The short answer: It's no better than the Funi single or the Dragon Box, I guarantee you. -- The long answer: DB, Z, the Z TV specials, and the movies were generally sent to foreign distributors on film, so every distributor did their own transfer, so they all look quite different. GT was a bit dif...

Screen Cap Request: French GT Special

Hey, I'm looking for the best looking version of the GT Special and I know the Funi Single and the Dragon Box look like ass, so I was wondering how this one looked as I have heard good things about it. Thanks in advance!

Re: Deploy the Headcanon!

1. Up until Super I believed that the reason Vegetto unfused was due to the Kai part of Boo sensing that they were mortals using something only reserved for Kai's and unfused them 2. That Super Saiyan 4 is not a true Super Saiyan transformation but actually an advancement of the Oozaru form (Similar...

Psajdak wrote: Sun Aug 16, 2020 9:08 am Are those color corrections actually correct because that's how original anime looked like when it aired, well, originally, or because you guys just like it this way more?
It's not really the colors that are the problem, it's the DNR that was applied that removes the grain and flattens the image.

Re: Do you still enjoy non-canon Dragon Ball content?

There really isn't a canon, and everything can be seen as just as valid as another if you look at it in terms of alternate timelines. The "canon" is what's being taken into account by the head writer (Toriyama), which is the stories he himself wrote only. That doesn't make everything else...

Re: Which subs are more accurate?

Crunchy Roll makes a lot of needless changes to names, like calling the Mafuba the Evil Containment Wave, and only calling Kame-Sennin, Master Roshi instead of Turtle Hermit, Muten Roshi, and Old Timer when that is what he is being called. I'd watch it on Funimation.com and watch those. Did Crunchy...

Re: Do you still enjoy non-canon Dragon Ball content?

I mean a lot of the movies are still really fun and I watch movie 12 and the 10th anniversary movie at least 5 times each year. I love GT and think it's way better than Super with the exception of BOG(Movie) and Broly. The first TV special is still perfect in my eyes and Minus does not even compare....

I thought of that but am worried about hurting the pacing of the episode as I find it is paced very well.

Re: When to watch GT Special?

It aired between GT episodes 41 and 42, and that's where it should go. It's between arcs, so there's no break in flow, and it sets up for the events of episode 64 (the flash-forward in 64 takes place after the special), and it means episode 64 is the last thing you watch, so that perfect ending is ...
