There are line differences and voice filters changed between the sags sets and blue bricks. Such as the robot in the red ribbon cave in the general blue saga having a voice filter. I don't remember all the others off the top of my head though.

I don't see how a dub as faithful or more than the budokai games etc would have stopped db dbz dbgt from being a hit on toonami. Kai wasn't modernized it just had basic color correction. It's fairly similar to the 90s lasersdiscs even so not modern.
