Vegeta himself admitted he's going to hell in one of the Super arcs, but he's clearly not evil any more and hasn't been for a long time. That doesn't erase his past sins, it just means he's not accumulating more of them. In fact he's actively trying to atone for this, i.e. bringing them back to life...
