When you've spent many hours manually typing up the info in the Dragon Books because you didn't like the episode summaries found online.

I earned a first-degree black belt in Choi Kwang-Do about 20 years ago, but unfortunately I have not kept it up since then.

Re: Japanese Audio Sync Issues - Dragon Box

That is awesome! Are those numbers for the Japanese Dragon Box, or the Funimation Dragon Box (or are they the same?)? Do you know if these numbers would also work for the dub track as well?

Re: Post your Battle of Gods Theatre Experience

Last night was great! I saw it at the Arundel Mills, MD, theater, which was a Fathom event, so we had nice clear picture and surround sound. I believe they had it in two theaters at the same time, and both were sold out as far as I could tell from the website (I had preordered my tickets several wee...

I'm going today (Wednesday), my girlfriend and I are supposed to meet at 5:30 and get dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings before the movie. I hope we can get out of there early enough to get a good seat, as it looks like this showing is sold out too!

They sell them on ThinkGeek, which is where I think my girlfriend got mine from. ThinkGeek is a reputable company so I think the risk of getting a bootleg from them is pretty minimal.

What to Provide as Background Info for BoG?

So, my girlfriend agreed to go watch Battle of Gods with me, even though she has little interest in Dragon Ball. She's watched parts of DBZ with me so she has some familiarity with the main characters, probably up through the Freeza arc. I think she's caught bits and pieces of the Android/Cell arcs,...

I'll likely be going to the one at Arundel Mills in Maryland, but not sure which day yet.

EDIT: Confirmed, I bought my tickets for Arundel Mills for the Wednesday showing.

Re: Sagas

The DBoxes weren't divided up into an arbitrary number of episodes per box. It had to do with the maximum number of episodes per disc and the price point. While this is true, the Dragon Books included with the Funimation Dragon Box Z divide it as: Vegeta Saga - Episodes 1-35 Namek Saga - Episodes 3...

Sounds like Word chain or the Name Game. Something like it was used in the movie Go. We play it in the car sometimes when we go on road trips.

Re: Need More Info Regarding Master Audio Tapes For Dragon B

Putting something into the locker and keeping it in the basement doesn't cost a penny. When your storage space fills up, what do you do then? You either need to build or rent a new facility to hold them (which costs money), or throw away old stuff to make room for new stuff. Plus, there is the cost...

Re: If Dragon Ball was rated by the MPAA

I watched This Film Is Not Yet Rated and learned that the MPAA rating guidelines are pretty inconsistent and politically motivated. It's a good documentary for anyone interested in the movie industry.

That being said, I personally would rate DBZ as PG-13.

It's not in a "scrapable" format, but I have been working on manually transcribing the stuff in the Dragon Books for my personal Plex server since I was dissatisfied with the auto-scraping metadata available from TheTVDB as well. I've only gotten up through Box 4, and then got busy with ot...

Well then... I was trying to be PC as possible and it seems otherwise! Oops! The use of East-Asian/South-East Asian should be fine? I mean, I want to represent the Far East respectively to the Oriental racial/national group(s) and saying "Asian" doesn't specifically represent that since A...
