Sorry, but I'm one of "those" people, and I will pick the japanese score any day. Now that you can listen to the dub with the original score? I can't see myself EVER listening to Funi's score again.

Ahh, really? I wasn't aware, but that makes as much sense as anything Toei's done. :P

As an addendum, such bizzare issues can usually be resolved with money, but Funi has pretty well avoided paying for anything that wasn't included in their original deal over a decade ago. To be absolutely fair, Toei can be kind of a jerk about these things too. A couple of years back, they refused t...

Well, liscencing is a tricky thing. Nowadays, it's standard for a show, songs and everything, to be included in the liscence for DVD release. However, with older shows like Dragonball, it can get hairy. There was no DVD format when the show was airing, and Toei may not have liscenced a song for incl...

After those nifty red CG titles the Ultimate Uncuts had for their episodes, why did FUNi go back to the old white text like Seasons 3-6? :? CONSISTENCY! No, that makes no sense at all, but Funi pulls out that word every time they need to explain a choice that doesn't make a lot of sense. Well, exce...

It's not that he had to land somewhere, it's that he was suppossed to die when the planet went boom. So, then, he, uh, finds a Ginyu spacecraft! But he doesn't get wished back to Earth by the Dragon, because, umm...yeah. But he was somewhere, and it turns out that somewhere was....YARDRAT, the plane...

How long have you been involved in the series? Hmm, I was introduced to it by my friends when it was first airing on Cartoon Network, which would've been the summer of '97 or '98...so, 9 or 10 years, I guess? Jeez. How did it begin? As I said, my friends introduced me, and I'd never seen anything l...

Once again, the real problem is how Toriyama pretty well forgot about this idea by the time he got into the Cell Arc of the story. I think it makes the most sense to suggest that once you're a Super Saiyan, you're on a whole 'nother playing field, and the "near-death" powerup might exist,...

...I forgot how random-ass the idea of Goku landing on planet Yardrat was to begin with O_o

I guess that's what happens when you carefully plot to kill off the main character and end the manga only to have your editors say "Dude! MONEY!"

Goku got worn out, and used up a good amount of his ki, but he wasn't even really injured , so to say. I agree that by this point in the series, zenkai didn't play as much into power boosts as they used to. Don't bet on that. That's about how badly Goku was injured when he got that unholy power jum...

Or the final two sets could be the DBZ movies and TV specials. Anyways, I bought my set last night, and I'm loving this so far. An episode of the 80's TMNT + an episode of DBZ remastered = the best way to end a long day. :D It's possible, though they seem to have the movies still committed to same ...

Yeah, Goku's nowhere near the "oh jeez, I'm gonna die!" stage when he forfeits the fight. He acts more like he's had a strenous work-out than a battle to the death. He (and everyone else) would be more likely to have recieved a powerup after being saved from the Cell Jr.'s, which really do...

Thank you DaemonCorps for the spine scan! Well... from this, it looks like it's going to be an awkward looking 10 sets. Now it may be 9 because I think they may shrink down the "Z", but otherwise it seems they're going to be milking 6 seasons into 10... oh well... at least they're cheap. ...

Hm, so, out of curiosity, has anyone who ordered from Amazon recieved their set yet? It's damn annoying to know the product is available in stores while I wait for Amazon to feel like sending me my pre-order. Guess I'll order the next set from somewhere else.

That's not really what you would consider "remastering," which would involve cleaning up footage. That's just the difference between a TV broadcast and a DVD transfer, which is higher quality than the (likely) analog TV broadcast of a digital show.

Hey guys, just a quick question. At the end of this week's episode, you were playing what sounded like a remixed version of "Don't You See" from DBGT. Is this true? If so, where might I be able to get ahold of it? It sounded pretty enjoyable..

These are Goku's ages according to the DBZ Landmark book Note: It mentions he was 1 year old when Grandpa Gohan found him From Pilaf to Piccolo -12-15 (roughly 4 years) Final Touranment to Wedding: -18-19 Radditz to Freeza: -24 Cell -29 (not too clear on this, it just just him in the Time chamber) ...

I was really hoping that wouldn't be the final NA cover... *sigh* Seriously, if I ever meet the guy who decides to change the artwork from the great stuff on the Japanese releases to this crap, I will kick him or her in the balls. I mean, it's certainly the game that counts, but I just don't underst...
