Re: The pilot episodes of HG's dub of DB might not exist

I'm kinda glad the HG dub failed. Lot of ridiculous name changes but the dub wasn't half bad. At least with Funimation they kept the names relatively intact. When it comes to names in the Funi dub, the only real issue with most of them are mispronunciations that can be overlooked. Like "Goekoo...

Re: To Buy or Not to Buy Dragon Boxes 6 and 7?

I'd recommend getting Dragon Boxes 6 and 7. They'll be worth a lot in the future and you should get your hands on them if you can. The orange bricks will be around for a long time, you'll be able to get them whenever you want.

Oh you know what I mean. xP They're deffinitely not as out in the open as they were. One thing that interest me is that on Amazon it said you could get them new, I was sure they weren't in print anymore. Guess I should have verified that.

I believe you mean HAD excellent dubs. The Ocean singles for those movies are dead, they're no longer in print.

Re: Should there be a new series to fill in the blanks?

Ehh, I'd be content with manga and or novels personally. I don't really see the need of another series, and I don't think it would do THAT great in terms of sales or viewership for some reason. Like somebody else said, one off specials are always welcome though.

They seem to have faith in it and know what they're doing, unlike James Wong. I'd like to see how this'll turn out. I saw the animated trailer, it looks like they've used scenes from Kai for it. I can't wait to see what they'll do with the live action trailer they intend to make. :)

Re: Fights that should have lasted longer

Tenshinhan vs. Drum and Piccolo. Seriously, how fast did that happen anyway? How long did it last? I don't even think he fought Piccolo, not for very long anyway. If memory serves him and Drum brawled for a bit then he used the Mafuuba against Piccolo, it failed, and then Goku arrived.

Because having no DBZ at all is better than having something. Especially since they've been waiting years to get a home release.

Re: DBZ Orange Bricks being separated into parts

They're very obviously the orange bricks repackaged. Pfft, Funi being lazy as always. If they were like the Blu-rays they were making just lower quality (480p, maybe?), I might have considered getting them. But I'm not interested in poor quality film, which I've already gotten on sets which at leas...

Re: DBZ Orange Bricks being separated into parts

Soo uhh? Has anyone bought them? o-o If so, what's the quality like? Is it just the orange bricks separated? Or does it actually have decent quality? Normal colors, 4:3 aspect ratio (so no cropping) etc etc. Are there any extras? Have there been any changes made to the English dub? What music is on ...

Re: The Anti-Dragonball Z Kai Dub Video Rebuttal

That video made me lol, congrats. The stuff those girls said made me cringe, it's clear nostalgia dictated a lot of their views. They must have only seen a couple of episodes on Nicktoons or something, to say some of the stuff they were saying about the violence, it being aimed at kids etc.

Re: Will The Z Movies Get The Kai/Redub Treatment?

I hope so, but I don't think it will happen anytime soon. I'd rather them go back and do Z personally anyway, but I know it won't happen. And besides, the cast for the movies doesn't vary that much from the English Kai cast. I don't find it that apparent, except in movie 9 where Gohan plays a large ...

Re: FUNimation's Dragon Boxes have indeed been discontinued

Actually, Funi never said the Dragon Boxes were limited, they didn't even give hints as to what their availability was. I might be mistaken but I don't remember anything else aside from the announcement after they stopped making them. I've been thinking it might have been because of the Blu-rays the...
