The "his power is maximum" quote makes me think of the UB22 manual, which made think of the PAL Budokai 1 subs I was supposed to be transcribing for Conan years ago. Guess I ought to finish that/post what I got done. It's not as amusing as the UB22 manual, but it's still pretty damn funny ...

It's also listed at DVD Crave for $332.71, coming to around $36.88 "per season" compared to the $50-$60 they retail at by themselves, making for a saving of some $160-odd. I'm actually tempted to buy this. I know the upcoming Dragon Boxes are going to be a significantly better product, but...

I believe DBZ is dub only until after the Great Saiyaman discs (someone correct me if I'm wrong). Madman released until at least V1.07 (up to ep. 21) of the Ultimate Uncut discs (I'm not exactly sure how far they went, that's all I can see listed in their catalogue), and are currently doing the sea...

I like to go with the humans, mostly Ten and Yamcha. Tao Pai Pai is another favourite. Asides from them, I like to use Gohan (either Cell or Buu saga) and Future Trunks a fair bit as well.

Ha-chan and Future Gohan will, I image, see a fair bit of use by me once BT3 is released.

But didn't right in Volume 2 Goku say that Gohan was stepped on by a monster that comes out oin the full moon & then we see Goku transform. So we kinda assume or Bulma makes a comment? Yep, that's right. Fourth panel of chapter 23, Bulma says: "Guess we shouldn't tell him he was the monste...

My mum used to watch DBZ around the time the Freeza and Cell arcs were first airing here. #16 was her favourite character and she was very unhappy when they didn't wish him back or rebuild him. My brother is (or was, I'm not sure) a fan, but hasn't really had any interest in the last two or three ye...

Oh I understood how you meant it. That's what I meant too. Good in a "Lord of the Rings" musical kind of way. You know like a coming disaster that unfolds before your eyes, yet you just can't stop watching. :D Oh, I see. I'm not familiar with the Lord of the Rings musical (though I'm now ...

Ya, I'm sure it'll be as fantastic as the Lord of the Rings musical. >> It WOULDN'T be good, and that's the point. Ideally, it would be horribly odd and terribly cheesy with just the right dose of awfulness that allows it to pass bad and circle back to strangely entertaining. ...or maybe it's just ...

I'd be interested in seeing something like that, personally. There's a whole bunch of potential for unintentionally comedic awesomeness. Any movie made would most probably be laughable anyway, so it might as well be some kind of crazy awesome laughable.

Goku won their first fight. Vegeta was trying to conquer the Earth, Goku was protecting it; Vegeta fled the Earth, licking his wounds. He might have been in better physical shape than Goku at the end of their bout, but Goku was the one that achieved his objective. As for the second fight, neither wo...

It works OK in Sonic Rush (in the special stages) and in games like Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam (where the 'specials' are buttons on the touchscreen, effectively giving you more 'buttons'). It works well with Sonic Rush because it gives you time to switch, it's not just 'hey, look, you're speeding alo...

I wouldn't want to see too much jiggery pokery with the touch screen, that's for sure. I really like the stylus when it's the main method of control (see: Project Rub, Wario Ware Touched, Clubhouse Games et al), but it can be quite annoying having to quickly switch from using the d-pad/face buttons ...

They must. Bulma's time-machine can't change the past (not in his own timeline) and Buu was sealed away. As far as we know, neither #19 or #20 exist in Trunks' timeline (as we know them, at least), so presumably Trunks' travelling into the past caused them to exist in the main timeline. I'm not sug...

Trunks never came back during that time, did he? I thought it was yet to occur. Trunks was from some seventeen years (not sure of the exact number) in the future. The Buu arc took place seven years after the defeat of Cell, meaning that time had passed in Trunks' timeline well before he travelled b...

Re: Region 4, Dragon Ball Box-Set Review

I have an old VHS of the Kidmark DB dub called "The Legend of Goku". Are they the same? My VHS has Episodes 11-13. "The Saga of Goku" DVD set contains the first thirteen episodes of DB on two discs. I'm not sure if it's the same dub as the other sets (I think it was different to...

I always figured they had a de facto thing going on; Vegeta certainly settled down in the seven years after Cell, but he never really seemed like the marrying type to me.

I always wanted to see what would happen in the Buu Saga in Future Trunks' timeline when Babidi came looking for Buu's shell. The thing about that is that, barring the obvious attacks by 17 and 18, the time of the Buu saga passed without event on Trunks' Earth. Of course, I doubt that'd matter give...

I've just started listening to the podcasts recently, but I'm really digging the couple I've heard so far. Just finished the most recent one.
