That is pretty awesome. I wouldn't want to buy it, but I'd love it as a gift. It'd go well with my awesome Goku figure :P

Re: The Essential Starter Collection?

Reason: Good sampling of entire fights with the least amount of "triangle crap" and filler. Plus, the 23rd Tenka'ichi Budokai is my favorite story arc. Also, I have no problems with the American release of the 23rd Tenka'ichi Budokai so a person using this list could get that instead. I a...

That third video reminds me of my old movie 7 fansub; washed out and painful to watch (yes, I did buy the DVD when it was released in the US, but for some reason my brother still doesn't want to get rid of the fansub). I'm honestly surprised these were never translated into english and shown to scho...

The point is that it's freaking awesome! It makes him look like Professor X which is always cool :P But seriously, I do agree with Captain Awesome. It sort of seems like Freeza's just using it as a way of intimdating people. In movie 5, Coola seems to have something similar in the opening scene, so ...

Well, is there any background on it? It saved my life. I wouldn't listen to GI Joe, I wouldn't listen to the Transformers, I wouldn't listen to anyone. Then Goku came along. ROFL. Life lessons from Son-kun. Priceless. I love how even in an educational video Muten Roshi still seems to be looking for...

I bought that action figure at a local convention. Only, when I bought it, it was the last one and the guy already had it put together. So I just grabbed the figure and the box and flew away happily. Goku currently sits on top of my TV , ruling over all the other collectables in my room. Still haven...

One thing I found disappointing was that there was no closure with the Goku and Piccolo rivalry, I would have liked to see another fight, even if it was just some sparring, to kind of close up their relationship. But no, instead we get Uncle Piccolo in the Boo arc :( The "Uncle Piccolo" t...

Teen Gohan is a let down for me. Not that I don't like Gohan (he's one of my favorite characters) I just found it really disappointing that after becoming the strongest fighter alive and having Goku pass the tourch to him, he doesn't maintain his powers/status as Earth's protector.

I got into Dragon Ball Z back in middle school and soon began to obsess with it. The flames of my passion soon died down a bit, but I never stopped liking the series, I just didn't watch the DVDs as much as I used to. Then I got into another fandom, which has recently turned into something I really ...

The only reason he worked for Freeza was for the sole purpose of getting the strength to become Super Saiyan, and also to finally get stronger and overthrow Freeza getting revenge for his people. I'm not sure he gave a damn, he always gives mixed signals concerning who he respects, and when given t...

It's also kind of funny, because by the Buu saga it seems like flying is one of the easiest things you can do since that's the only technique Videl was able to master.

I remember watching Yu Yu Hakusho on adult swim and expecting it to be grabage because it was done by FUNimation. Of course, I was pleasently surprised. I think I remember reading that Justin Cook was a big Yu Yu Hakusho fan, so I'm not surprised that he influenced FUNi's new style. I personally lov...

That was a pretty interesting video. I didn't know that One Piece went from 4Kids to FUNi, let alone that the creator cast the American voices. Sort of makes me want to check it out, but I doubt I'll be able to rent any One Piece DVDs :P

I know that Toriyama helped to pick out the original Japanese VAs. I remember reading somewhere that he listened to a recording of Masako Nozawa and decided she was the perfect Goku.
