Although I'm biased because the song in DBZ is favorite Kikuchi piece, I agree that overall I think it's worth highlighting the triumph in the scene.

It's really interesting to me that the Yamamoto and Z cuts emphasized the uplifting part of the speech and that song brings out the terror.

Speaking of, my unpopular opinion is Wakamoto was only "good" in DBZ but amazing in Kai. Especially as Imperfect Cell, with those hilarious boogeyman sounds he made.

Yeah, I used to use Dragonball Z/GT/Kai, although most of the time I would shorten it to just DBZ/GT/K/ai.

I think though that the use of Dragon Ball outweighs the use of Dragonball in official material (as well as considering iffy romanizations from Japanese speakers).

I don't really see a whole lot changing, to be honest. Dragon Ball has a pretty timeless appeal. It'd probably be more similar in storytelling to One Piece, but that's about it.

Subject to American standards, though? Well... it'd probably be so different it might as well not be Dragon Ball.

So Z's color manga is being released in English both physically and digitally. And that's great. But I know Japan has DB in color; do you guys think Viz will ever spring for it?

Yeah. I got mine second hand and I've had pretty much no issues with the packaging.

It's been released on Blu-Ray in Hong Kong with English subtitles.
