You guys realize that no famous actors will be in this movie, right? I mean, are you guys really expecting an all-star cast? It's gonna be a bunch of canadian newbs. If this were really made, I'd actually prefer it that way. There's really no reason to bring in big-name stars if the name of the mov...

And now latest reports are that 85% of the movie will be filmed in Durango, Mexico. You gotta love their spelling of Vegeta..."Vegueta". :)

(Sorry if this was posted elsewhere, but I didn't see anything).

You remove them, you remove the intended flow. Finally, someone understands this. I guess the only other acceptable alternative would be to insert a couple of seconds of dead air where the eyecatches would normally go. Then you don't jolt from one shot immediately to the next, (sometimes made worse...

Or, it could change lots of important plot points and character development and look like shit - a la Spider-man 2 (remember that scene with Doc Oc outside the bank? That was fucking terrible). The movie could be done really well. But based on what we've seen for recent book-to-movie and especially...

What ISP are you guys connecting through? If for some reason certain image hosting sites are blocked or not responding, the avatars will not show up. So if the avatars come and go, it sounds like you are only making intermittent connections to those sites.

Steven Perry wrote:Let's just hope the people making this movie love Dragonball.
This is also one of my concerns. I hope the director they get is very familiar with the original material. Get someone who has actually read the manga.

Seriously though... So, it says it will be three epic movies? So that should be the Saiyan saga, Frezza Saga and Cell saga no? I hope it's not an original story. :? It doesn't say that anywhere. Only that they are filming three (unrelated) movies. This is just another Hollywood attempt at making mo...

Wait, why do people hate the Viz names again? I think they're pretty creative (as opposed to inventive) and make a lot more sense in comparison to words that don't have English equivalents—how does one explain the "tto" in "Vegetto," without a discourse in the Japanese language,...

Really so as long as I watch it in the original Japanese language audio track it will always be the same as the original broadcast? The only one they might change is the track with English dialogue and Japanese music?
Correct, the Japanese version isn't modified.

Actually, look at Toriyama's colored art of Goku. You'll see he always sorta had a slight tan. It was the anime that made him lighter toned. I remember reading that it may have had to do with Toei or the studios having a smaller budget back then, when DBZ was produced. Maybe this translates into ha...

With Unmei no Hi, we know it's all one track, so if they removed it it would just be dead silence there. I'm inclined to think the song will be there, but of course you never know what's really going to happen. Well, The french version has got Unmei no Hi, only without the lyrics. Hrm..well in a wo...

This is such a sad truth. It's getting more and more rare to find people who truly respect anime or even just animation in general at these conventions. Not sure I believe that..it's not the vibe I got at Otakon anyway. Given the number of people you see cosplaying, at the art gallery, watching ani...

Unmei no Hi is a little different in that it's an insert song, as opposed to the music that played when Piccolo died. Correct me if I'm wrong but I understand that in Piccolo's scene they removed just the vocals from the instrumental music. I guess this means it was two separate audio tracks. With U...

Interesting given that we know that previews are actual footage from the completed episodes. It's like the episode was originally made with him going SSJ, then they decided to re-color it at the last moment. Weird.

If anything, it further proves that anime conventions are becoming less and less about celebrating our shared love of Japanese culture (including its animation), but are instead becoming a celebration of internet culture using anime as a faux-backdrop just to initiate the gathering. Ouch. :D Yeah, ...
