Re: More FUNi Dragon Boxes: Will it ever happen?

Does anyone know what they have said about Dragon Boxes at anime conventions?

Re: Top Disliked Moments

Goku didn't defeat Vegeta, Krillin, Gohan and the Genkidama did. Goku didn't kill Freeza(he defeated him though), Future Trunks did. Goku didn't defeat Kid Buu either, the Genkidama with the genki/ki whatever from Gohan, Goten, Trunks and every person on Earth and the persuasion of Mr. Satan did. G...

Re: Top Disliked Moments

I don't like the fact that every arc, except Cell, Goku defeats the villain. When you have such a large cast wouldn't it be better to have Vegeta, Piccolo, Tenshinhan or Gotenks save the world? It can become a bit predictable, especially in the Freeza arc.

Re: That one interview

I have never heard of an interview like the one you described. What I gathered in the TV series was that Goten and Trunks were the next generation of fighters and that they will eventually be stronger than Goku, I think that was what Toriyama was going for at the time. At the point in the story when...

Which episode did Bruce Faulconer start with?

This is just to settle an argument with my friend. I was wondering which episode Faulconer began with. (I am meaning the original episode count not the edited Funimation version.)

Re: The Saiya-jin warrior Radditz

I always thought Raditz had a bit more about him than other villains. For one, he is Goku's brother and Gohan and Goten's uncle. That kind of connection with the main character is quite big, in my opinion. I also really enjoyed the design of the character. It was a lot different to the villains that...

Re: Difference between Remastered and Dragonbox

The basic differences between the two are as follows: 1) The remastered sets are in 16:9 (the top and bottom of the picture have been cut off) whereas the Dragonbox is in 4:3. 2) The colors are slightly different. 3) The Dragonbox remastering was used with earlier masters compared to the FUNimation ...

Re: How many of you own the entire series?

DragonBall:
1) Both Madman fatpacks
2) FUNi double disc sets 4,6 &7
3) DB Movies 2-4 set
(So no uncut movie 1)

DragonBall Z:
1) Season Sets 1-8
2) DragonBox Volume 1
3) Steelbook TV Specials
4) Steelbook Movies 1-7, 9

DragonBall GT:
Nothing

Quite a few repeats here. I should spend less.

Re: The Golden Age Of Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball

I'd say from the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai to the Saiya-jin arc. In terms of the storytelling and art style, I think that this is where he reached his peak at storytelling and, from a personal standpoint, the art is at its best.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they cancelled it. The next time they will be released, will probably be in DragonBox format. It has been said by FUNimation that they have the DragonBox movie masters.

I always disliked the fight between Goku and Freeza, not only for the ridiculously long filler in the anime, but for the fact it lasted for so long in the manga too. I also didn't like the fight between Vegeta and Cell (second form). There was no real fighting, I thought it was too easy for Vegeta.

As long as there is a demand for it, DragonBall will be around. It is a well known animé. It is popular all over the world. Over the years the demand may decrease, but there is a core audience which will always be there, so DragonBall will, in all likelihood, live for a long time yet.

Well they designed flip phones from Star Trek and we already have toy scouters. That would be so cool if scouters were actually made.

It would have to be the Cell arc, the canon material is the best in the series and of course Gohan's SSJ 2 transformation was so well done in the anime. And I would also say the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai arc is another favourite. This is not only for the actual canon material of the arc but also the fi...

It has to be the DragonBoxes, but I'm also looking forward to Raging Blast. Clearly it isn't going to be a classic but I'll enjoy playing DBZ all the same.

1. One Piece
2. DragonBall
3. Yu Yu Hakusho

I don't really watch other animes. This list is in terms of both manga and anime. The manga of both One Piece and DragonBall are fantastic and equally great. However, in terms of the anime adaptations, One Piece is better than DragonBall.
