Jōji Yanami as Kaio-sama. I find his performance absolutely hilarious.

Dutch Kanzenban release cancelled.
Hello Forum. I have some sad news for the Dutch DB fans. Over the last three years or so, Glénat, the distributor responsible for Dragon Ball in Belgium and France, has been releasing a Kanzenban release of the manga in those areas. Their Dutch translations have been running behind the French ones e...

Re: Opinions on Foreign Dubs
Yet Funi's dub gets much more praise. To be completely honest and also being a douche in the process, it seems like the reasons for liking Funi's dub is too twisted to be seen as a non-biased opinion (and further invalidating it as serious "proof" of it's worth). The Mona Lisa is consider...

You know, I think we can keep replying to these messages, but that would give them legitimacy that they frankly don't deserve.

Re: Japan Earthquake Magnitude 8.9
Chernobyl was a fundamentally different type (read: older and less reliable) of reactor than Fukushima. Most sources I heard say that because of this, a disaster the scale of Chernobyl is not likely. They're still quite desperate though. They were trying to submerge the reactor with sea water and bo...

Re: Japan Earthquake Magnitude 8.9
My thoughts go out to the people of Japan is this trying hour. In keeping this up to date, it seems there's been an explosion in the nuclear plant where the cooling wasn't working. It has resulted in a massive increase in radiation leaking... A plant exploded? I can't find it on YouTube anywhere.. ...

Re: DBZ VS KAI VS MANGA (the great filler debate)
Well some people don't really have a problem with it. Besides, what you're talking about isn't necessarily filler, but more about the pacing of the battles.
I liked the filler too. The Anoyuchi (?) Budôkai was fun .

Re: Chances of Dragon Boxes getting the UUE treatment?
After all the shenanigans they've pulled in the past with the UUE and Orange bricks, I'm sure FUNimation has the common sense that God gave a billy goat to know that they really need to finish this release of the series. If they don't, they'll permanently hurt their own credibility. I'm pretty sure ...

Re: Losing interest...
To be really honest, I don't enjoy / have any interest in Dragon Ball as much as I used to . As in: unlike in the past, where I would JUMP anything DB-related, now I feel rather "meh"-ish about most of it. Still haven't watched anything Kai-related nor do I especially want to, haven't seen...

Re: Hey guys, help me figure it out.
uncut footage, no cropping, with both original score and Bruce's score The only thing that comes close to that are the single dvd releases from years ago. They aren't cropped, are uncut, have the original Japanese and the Faulconer score, but have quite a few lesser qualities as well. No episode pr...

Re: Ending of DragonBall GT
Z's ending was too abrupt for my liking. His sudden departure with Uub was basicly one big "f*ck you" towards the rest of the gang. Why would he want to train Uub far away from everyone else anyway? GT's ending also has that element of Goku suddenly leaving, but at least he has a reason (a...

Re: If an accurate re-dub surfaced, would you watch it?
Is it? Look at Adamant -- where he's from, he's stated that dubs are primarily just for the kiddie-fare, and above that, it's pretty much assumed that everyone's just going to watch stuff subbed... right? No-one's saying that dubs don't exist in these areas, but they're the anomaly in the greater v...

I never really thought too much about it, what with it all being so ambiguous...
But reading Cipher's "analysis", if you will, it all seems to make perfect sense. I really like your interpretation of this ending .

Re: The most famous controversy - Goku's Japanese voice
I like Masako Nozawa as Goku. Getting adjusted to her voice after coming from the dub was kind of weird and It still feels a bit awkward to me. But I think she captures the character in a way few others could. It's a splendid performance, it couldn't be better as far as I'm concerned. On a side note...

Re: Boo arc too repetitive at times?
I liked the boo arc, although from the moment Super Boo came into the picture it was, as pointed out in previous post, one big drawn-out battle (although if you really hate that stuff, you're not reading this anyway). After Cell, Buu was definitely a refreshing villain. Especially Kid Buu. He was ju...
