Re: New Blu Ray sets? Let's compare!

Excellent screenshots Googaliemoogalie! I really enjoyed looking at these comparisons! I've been a major DBZ fan since 1998 consistently and I have the 30th Anni Blu-Ray set (which I am guessing is identical to the new steelbooks), and I really like them, as they allowed me to replace the orange bri...

bootleg Dragon Ball Super DVDs and Blu-Rays?

I'd like to finally buy the entire series of DB Super since Funimation has finished it all. I was hoping to get it in a box set in packaging I'd find more attractive, but as the months go by, it just doesn't seem like that is happening so far. I need some help from someone who has made this mistake ...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

I just bought 4 of the same blu ray cases. If you design art work for the inserts for the blu ray cases, do you mind sharing it. I would love to print out my own inserts as well, but I'm terrible at making those sort of things. I'm probably going to design artwork to fit these cases over Thanksgi...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

My cases arrived... perfect solution. Now I just need to design artwork to put on them and episode guides in them. I'll probably have time over the holidays I hope. One (or some people) have complained about scratched discs, and all of mine are great except the Captain Ginyu one has a bit of a scrat...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

Thanks for making all those screenshots TheGreatness25! I still maintain my opinion, that as far as colors are concerned, I like the 30th anni set best and I'm thankful to own it. The Level sets leave the show looking like the 90s cartoon it deserves to look like, but until we get Funimation to fini...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

Clicking those dozens of spoiler tags was driving me insane, so if anybody wants to see TheGreatness25's awesome screenshots just in 1 all-encompassing spoiler tag, click my modified version below in the quote. (I must admit, I am posting this primarily so I can do just that...). EPISODE 1 30th Anni...

I made this comparison using the screenshots from https://slow.pics/comparison/d920b5b4-786f-4d4b-a775-9bf6e205a512 so I figured I'd share it here as well. http://res.cloudinary.com/branjita/image/upload/v1573168343/tpilwv16rbtkdxqfbxnj.jpg If you want to see a bunch of clips, this guy has been putt...

I may not include characters on it at all. It depends how the design looks without them.

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

I think the disc booklets are getting a bit of undeserved hate. They are absolutely beautiful in my opinion. However, the opportunity to damage them (or the discs) is high every single time you access a new disc. That's why I ordered VIVA ELITE blu-ray cases off ebay that hold 10 discs per case... s...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

I checked my blu-ray player's settings and I didn't have any parental settings preventing anything, so the scene of Piccolo's dripping blood missing was either an odd glitch or a figment of my imagination last night as I was drifting off to sleep. I do remember Raditz's comment about "has anybo...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

How's the brightness & color saturation? To me, the contrast and colors are beautiful. The white stuff isn't overexposed and the colors are just right. I made this split screen in Photoshop based on the screenshots someone else shared here a few days ago. The 30th is on the left, the 16:9 blu-r...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

I have checked with some people online and confirmed the 30th anniversary release does contain the mentioned blood-dripping arm stump scene. I don't know why Brangeta is not seeing the scene, but it is there. Only thing I can think is that the BDs contain some playback metadata that tells the playe...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

I watched the first three episodes last night and honestly really liked it. The DNR did remove some of the faint lines (toddler Gohan looked a bit like a median filter was used when he walked through a patch of sunlight, and a very faint line of Bulma's ear was missing in a scene) but overall, it lo...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

I messed up big time! Well I think I did. I sent in a ticket a few months ago to change the shipping address, it's been shipped without the apartment number (no sure if I left it off or they did, can't see message history only their email replies) Does anyone know the fastest way to get in contact ...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

Isn't that the officially-provided Yamamoto artwork? That looks consistent with the pieces he provided for FighterZ's Arc posters in that game. I really hope Shintani does this stuff in the future. I wouldn't know, unfortunately. I just know most of the art in the book is from the last ~10 years I ...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

I technically received mine Friday, but didn't pick it up from the leasing office until Saturday. So mine arrived the day after it was shipped. I live in Dallas, so that makes sense I suppose. Based on the new videos someone made on youtube, particularly this one, which frankly looks really good, I ...

Sorce: https://slow.pics/comparison/d920b5b4-786f-4d4b-a775-9bf6e205a512 Thank you! I didn't notice when I saw those originally, that the orange bricks were the 2007 season sets. It's certainly strange that the cropping is so heavy on that first episode (and maybe several more, based on what people...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

Yikes. This has derailed into complaining and fighting. Can we bring this back on topic? My set arrived this weekend. Looks great visually as a whole. I haven't opened the plastic wrap on the blu-rays yet. I'm waiting until I've seen proof that it's substantially better than owning the orange bricks...

Re: Rock The Dragon VS. Dragon Box

Which is which in the comparisons? I read the topic three times, but I don't see anywhere that you specifically said "Dragon Box is on the left, Rock the Dragon is on the right" or vice-versa.

To me, the shots on the right look the best. But I don't know which set those came from. :?
