I'm making the declaration that Black is just an undead version of the Goku that died in Trunk's timeline resurrected by Zamasu to be his servant. How the hell Zamasu can even pull off bringing back the dead will be revealed soon.

Yeah, the fact that they're literally out to commit genocide as opposed to just killing random people or conquering worlds puts them on a whole different level in terms of what kind of threat they pose. That's why I'm seriously worried about Mai and the others when normally I wouldn't care as much.

He's not alone, Piccolo went from being as strong as an Ascended Saiyan at his peak to only being able to handle a U6 Freeza clone because he was already beaten up by SS Goku. Damn Piccolo, step up your game!

I'm calling it right now, Zamasu is only "immortal" as long as Black is alive. Then like a video game as soon as they take out black Zamasu should be easy pickings.

I just hope Black Goku is insanely powerful otherwise he'll only be as much of a "threat" as Freeza was so far. I'm talking so powerful that Kaioken Blue Goku is like a fly, Whis can't touch him, and even SSB Gogeta might at best simply not get killed for a half hour before time runs out. ...

I'm really curious as to how Trunks chose this particular point in history to go back to and ask for help. Did he know they were so much stronger somehow? If so, why not wait until even later like EoZ for example?

I like to imagine ssg as the equivalent of false super saiyan from the Lord Slug movie. It's temporary, only appears once, and is more visually similar to Goku's base form suggesting to me at least that it is incomplete compared to the "true" transformation being SSB.
