Re: Dragon Box and 30th Anniversary in Plex
So, I was unable to get this done :(. It may be a bit advanced for me! I continue to poke around and think about how I can do this. I am also with free time trying to get these 30th Anniversary episodes to default to the Bruce Faulconer track (really, that's why I wanted this set. Now I have a perfe...

Re: Dragon Box and 30th Anniversary in Plex
Somewhere I actually have some knowledge as I have multiple the dubs on Plex (Faulconer, Dragon Box, and Ocean Dub). Yeah, it's a pain to host them seperately but it is possible. I currently have each one in distinct folders while avoiding naming them "Dragon Ball Z" except the one I want...

Re: Dragon Box and 30th Anniversary in Plex
I've only heard about Plex just now, but it's not possible to go with, say, "Dragon Ball Z - Dragon Boxes" and "Dragon Ball Z - 30th" in some fashion? To my knowledge, not easily. Plex references online databases for the meta data for your media to give it that "Netflix&quo...

Dragon Box and 30th Anniversary in Plex
Hi Everyone! First off, long time no see! It has been a long time. I hope everyone is doing well :). I am currently on a mission to make my Dragon Ball content playable in Plex. I just finished backing up my 30th Anniversary Collection, but I want both my Dragon Boxes and 30th Anniversary Collection...

Has anyone else noticed that the preorder number keeps decreasing? We are back in the 2800s now.

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
You're talking about Funimation's "Next time on DRAGON BALL ZEEEEEEE!" previews, right? Were those even based on the Japanese NEPs? No, I believe that they created their own previews solely for Toonami (and syndication before that), though they may have based some of them on the original ...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
Doubtful. Flipping theses sets should be easy as pie. It's "collectible" regardless of how bad the video quality is. It's a shame, if the remaster for the set were better i'd consider getting it but at this point as i've said as nauseum i am just going to stick with my Dragon Boxes. I nee...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
Anyone know why you cannot use Paypal as a form of payment when trying to checkout? I do not have a credit card, and I only have a debit card. It keeps saying that my billing code is not valid.....what is a billing code? Thanks Is that not just your zip code? I was confused by this too. It's the on...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
People ordering this and saying they will just cancel if the trailer is the final product. People on twitter have said they tried to cancel but couldn’t. Too late if you already ordered but keep that in mind if anyone is on the fence about this set. That's pretty messed up. You could just contact y...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
I think the only way this forum would be 100% satisfied is if they just released 1:1 copies of their digibetas for sale, lol. I hope what we saw isn't the final footage, but we here are the minority. I also think this is for the newer hardcore fans as most people I know are one and done with release...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
It´s really a shame that Toei didn´t made an Worldwide release of the Dragon Boxes back in the early/mid 2000´s, instead of keeping them just in Japan for the most Part. This could have preventet Funi´s own meddling Releases. Sadly that's not how the industry works. Toei relies on licensees to intr...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
Been a while! I actually came here to see what everyone thinks of the new set, and it is more or less what I was expecting. My optimistic side feels that there is potential for them to continue the level sets remaster, because where is all of this money going if they aren't actually going to redo th...

Re: Dragon Boxes (US) prices
The Dragon Boxes required a special deal from Toei.
They aren't part of the standard licensing agreement.
I'm sure a big part of why they were limited were due to the agreement Toei made with FUNImation.

I actually stopped buying them once this happened.Codarik wrote:Not sure if they're "prized" worthy yet but I do have FUNi's original Kai parts with Yamamoto's score.
I'm happy to own these myself.

Re: Dragon Boxes (US) prices
These came with custom high quality disc holders and comprehensive guidebooks. The packaging of the US Dragon Boxes were very average at best, the disc holders didn't do a very good job as they'd stack discs upon another one and to the point of breaking and the paper glued to the boxes wasn't done ...

Re: Dragon Boxes (US) prices
Honestly, the orange bricks are the ONLY home release of DBZ that both experienced a full release in its entirety and remained in print, so I'm surprised many people figured these would be on store shelves forever. IIRC, they were announced as a limited release (heck, volume 2 didn't even print enou...

Re: Dragon Ball/Z/GT VCDs
This reminds me of the videos I would find in the early 2000s. I remember buying some bootlegs from another person, that had classifications based on how good they looked -- used terms like "near dvd" and "HELLA quality." There was the occasional RealMedia file too. This was bac...
