Re: Official "Show off your Dragonball Crap" Thread

Hey guys! I haven't posted on this forum in a while, since I've been so very busy, but I decided to post a pic of my current DB collection, as I was adding it to my Facebook, anyhow. I know it isn't much, but my focus has sort of shifted into other directions lately. So, yeah... enjoy! :) http://ima...

Re: Funimation remastering the movies

I'm sure, if remastered respectably like the level sets, FUNimation could do an admirable job with the movies. HOWEVER, the main draw (for me) for the DBOX versions would be the excellent audio, which FUNi wouldn't have access to, at this point. Unless of course, they did actually possess the DBOX m...

Re: Did anyone do custom Slim DVD covers for FUNi Dragon Box

I've seldom seen any packaging that I personally like more than the Blade Runner Blu-ray set.

Re: Funimation comments on the Blu-Rays, hints at more DBoxe

I'd rather have the boxes in 480p - which include all of the recaps, previews, title cards, etc. - rather than 1080p versions without those things, personally.

Re: What's your most recent Dragonball purchase?

Dragon Ball Kai parts 1, 3 and 4 (unfortunately, parts 1 and 3 didn't show up with slipcovers... =\) Where did you buy them from that it didn't include the slip covers? I bought one from eBay, and the other from Amazon. They touted them both as 'new' and 'unopened', so I assumed the covers would be...

Re: Do the die-hards really hate GT?

I suppose I consider myself a fairly die-hard Dragon Ball fan, though I don't go out of my way to hate anything series-related, per se. However, I feel roughly the same way about GT as I do Scooby-Doo ; I don't despise it, nor do I love it... it's just there. GT really isn't my thing, so I give it v...

Got the April V Jump. If you want it, get it now; it's still available on Amazon Japan for ¥520 , as of this writing. http://img9.imageshack.us/img9/9459/vjumpcover.jpg http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/2685/eobardockcover.jpg The Episode of Bardock reprint is a little mini-manga booklet embedded wi...

Re: STOP SOPA NOW!

Well, you have to understand that piracy has little to do with this being passed. The government, or rather the corporations in power, want to censor alternative news and communication, in preparation for what the NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act) allows. In short, it establishes martial law...

http://www.cubendo.com/images/smilies/facepalm.gif I'm sorry but 1.1 is the best quality available...And is definitely not the "same crappy orange brick quality" And its Blu Ray not Blue-Ray ;) As for being the best release that's down to opinion and what you prefer - would you rather a m...

Re: Old Fullscreen DB Movie Releases in Japan... Revealed!

Although Kei says that he saw some of the movies in theaters projected in a 1.33:1 ratio (and I don't doubt him), it should be noted that most films were released on VHS in 4:3; it's no basis for a film's original aspect ratio.
