Re: Dragon Box vol 5 discussion

These two clips are the last things from me: one is of the last 30 seconds of the opening and the other is of Vegeta hitting the punching machine.

Re: Dragon Box vol 5 discussion

Also, greenman...your caps are strangely blurry looking. I don't see any grain or whatnot in them and the lines and colors look kinda water-colorish. I'm not sure why that would be. MarcFBR PMed me instructions/settings for getting good screen caps a while ago. I checked the settings before I took ...

Dragon Box vol 5 discussion

After a "long" wait Dragon Box Five has finally started shipping. I haven't had a chance to really check it out much, but as expected everything looks identical to the previous Boxes so far. A couple pictures will have to do for now. I'll probably take some screenshots later, but if anyone...

Re: A substitute for ImageShack...

For most images I uses Imgur . Imgur compresses images over 1MB, so for those I use Min.us . Both allow unlimited anonymous uploading, but I use Imgur because I trust it more. If you do decide to use them, I'd keep backups of any important images. Imgur seems pretty solid at the moment, but you neve...

Re: Toei Officially Acknowledges Yamamoto's Kai Rip-Offs

I know I'm jumping the gun again here but if the music does get replaced over here in terms of DVDs will Funi be obligated to pull the old copies off the shelf (out of...online...shelves?) I'm just thinking how much of a mess it would be to try and buy a DVD with the replacement score only to get a...

Around 9 or 10. I started watching Z not long after it began airing on Cartoon Network.

Retail (mass produced) DVDs aren't burned, so that shouldn't be the reason.

Re: Is Dragon Ball as a franchise over?

Considering I wasn't all that interested in Kai anyway, I'm not worried. It won't be that different than the time between GT ending and Kai being announced. We could see a slow-down in video games (save for the already announced 3DS game) but based on the quality of Namco Bandai's recent ones I don'...

Re: FUNimation and Toei announce online streaming of DBZ!

I actually enjoyed Nathan Johnson's stuff more than Bruce Faulconer's. It's no Kikuchi, though. Even though I do dislike Johnson's score, it's more a question of whether my nostalgia overrides my hatred of replacement scores. In Faulconer's case that true. I even like his music by itself too, but h...

Re: FUNimation and Toei announce online streaming of DBZ!

Original Japanese score on the dub? That's... unfortunate. I don't care about these episodes because Johnson did the score, but obviously this doesn't look good for the Faulconer-scored episodes. There goes any reason to watch the stream for me. I wouldn't have expected them to use the dub score if ...

Re: How many Dub fans were converted to the Sub due to Daize

Daizenshuu EX is pretty much the entire reason why I'm a fan of the original version. I was solely a fan of the dub from the Ocean days. My only experience with the original version was a few minutes of listening to the Japanese track on the DVDs and a fansub of movie 11. That was around 2002, so I'...

Re: FUNimation Curse of the Blood Rubies Discussion

Now this actually brings me to my question: If Funimation claimed that they have the Dragon Box film masters back when they announced the Dragon Box domestic release, why didn't they use it for the first time on this release? Are they holding off on using the Dragon Box copies until the 4-Movie box...

Re: Avatar size

Wouldn't that make short posts seem longer? Yes , with a pretty modest bump to 100x100 posts would still be a bit longer. Even with the increase in resolution computers have had, 140 seems excessive. Fox666, VegettoEX responded to a request for a size limit increase a few months ago. To be honest, ...

I got some money and a pre-order for Dragon Box Five. I think I'll spend some of the money on Dragon Ball: The Complete Illustrations and maybe some FUNi Z singles.

The Season 3 art work seems to pop up on a lot of their stuff. I believe that's the image that they are using to promote Dragon Ball "Z" Kai Volume 4. I know that particular picture of Freeza appears a lot on their stuff, but I can't tell you where, it slipped my mind lol The German box s...

You can crop it yourself ya know.
That's true, but it won't look as good as a true anamorphic widescreen DVD.

Re: What's your most recent Dragonball purchase?

Just picked up DBZ VizBig #9, the final volume, today. I now officially own the entire manga in one consistent format, and am happy. Also, Vegetto on the spine. One thing puzzles and worries me though. It looks to me like these two pages... http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d81/Kaboom_Krusader/th_i...
