Re: Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi (Pre-Release Discussio
The Tekken series, namely Tekken 6, does a good job with impactful combat. I really feel like I'm hurting whoever I'm fighting. Plus, it actually looks like you're making contact. I wish Spike would take a page from Namco-Bandai.

Re: Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi (Pre-Release Discussio
I don't know if anyone has brought this up but I think that the hits just don't have enough impact. It feels like a slap fight most of the time and I can barely see the characters reacting in a way that isn't flinching.

I don't know why they need to censor "death", "die" or "kill" even if it's used in a passing sense or figure of speech. Especially since they allowed it earlier on the series.

I didn't think there was any official Dragon Ball sheet music. I'm so excited for this to come.

I'm really a fan of the original GT score due to the upbeat and generally lighthearted nature of it and I think that really shows in these two pieces "Goku and Pan" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VoNM4JxzNiA&feature=related "Pan's Theme" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sNo7VlH...

Re: Dragonball Kai (FUNimation English) Dub: General Discuss
They're still going with the robotic filter for 19. Though Todd Haberkorn uses a lower pitched voice for 19's voice than Phillip Wilburn, and the filter is a bit more subtle, so I'd say it works well. They also cut out Gero punching through Yamcha's stomach, but they kept the first part in where Ya...

So all of Gohan beating up Freeza was cut but parts of Freeza beating up Gohan weren't? That's strange as hell.

I don't know if anyone has seen this yet but,
I think it's FUNi's own version of "Dream 9".

I really hope these get better once they get into the Cell Arc. Cell can regenerate so I don't think it'd be that terrible to show him being knocked around a bit.

A majority of these dialogue edits are pointless. Since when have "stupid" or "jerk" been considered offensive words?

I wonder if Trunks killing Freeza will be edited. The look of Freeza when he's shown split in half looks like something from SpongeBob.

That's one of the best covers I've seen in a long time. They don't all look super pissed off.

A good script doesn't mean shit when you can barely listen to the dub due to the shitty voices and bad acting.

Re: DragonBall Z Kai Cable TV Version (NickToons) Edits! *Ep 22*
I'm not sure why Dragon Ball Z Kai wasn't rated TV-PG in the first place. It seems more appropriate.

I like Freeza's edited line about the children, it seems a bit more in character for him.

Schemmel's Goku when he first arrived at the battle was much better than what I've seen before. I wish he could've stayed like that for the rest of the episode.

So apparently Krillin did get impaled in the TV version. I thought they were just gonna say Freeza headbutted him really hard.Nicktoons's description of Episode 38 wrote:Vegeta is impressed by Gohan's outburst after Freeza strikes a death blow against Krillin.
