Well, the first time I watched DBZ they were rerunning the Cell arc (in particular, when Goku and Gohan were training in the ROSAT)...so when I finally got to see the Freeza arc it was more of an, "Oh, so he couldn't always do that?" and/or "Oh, so that's how that happened?" deal...
