Re: "DragonBall Z Kai" TV Broadcast Talkback
I don't mind the line so much (even though, to me, it was a miss in the comedy department, possibly due to delivery) as the acting.

Re: "DragonBall Z Kai" TV Broadcast Talkback
Hair braiding?! Did Kai add in some bizarre fanfic plots where the Ginyu braid each other's hair? I'm... very confused. Ginyu said "It's time we had some fun. Let's show our friends here a good time." Jeice: "And when he says 'a good time,' he doesn't mean we're gonna play dr...

Re: "DragonBall Z Kai" TV Broadcast Talkback
I didn't mind his actual voice, but Jeice's acting was ear crippling. It sounded so awkward, especially during the whole hair braiding thing.

Re: Which English dubbed episode are you most looking forward to
Also, 11 years old hardly counts as being a "teenager"... My bad. :P Somewhere, I've seen Gohan at that stage referred to as "teen Gohan" and they called his actual teenage years something really awkward like "older teen Gohan," so I just assumed he was a teenager at t...

Gohan's fight with Cell. Somehow, I've never seen those episodes and I'm incredibly interested to watch them. And by then we'll see how his voice actress sounds as a teenager.

Re: #17 Donating to the Genki-Dama?
Nope. If you note the clothing, #17's clothes match Lunch's final appearance's (the single page one-shot in the Namek saga) clothes. The Daizenshuu blurb explains he thought nobody would remember Lunch, so he changed to #17 in mid-design. This reasoning always bugged me, because even if you went by...

Re: What's your first Dragonball memory?
Me and my brother seeing a commercial while waiting for another show (probably Pokemon) and finally deciding, even though we had an unfounded hate for the show, to give it a chance, and loving it.

I didn't much care for Freeza's "He had to go bye-bye" line. Everything else, though, was fantastic.

I didn't mind the line either. I was on the computer at the time and something about the delivery caught my attention, so I guess that's a good thing.

Re: Dragonball Kai Dub
Mark? I'm fairly new to the online community, so does anyone wanna explain? Akira Toriyama announced in a guidebook released last year that Mr. Satan's real name was "Mark". Ah. I always find it funny when he seemingly purposefully does something to contradict liberties he didn't approve ...

Re: New Freeza Talkback
Hearing that small amount dialogue, I'm kinda wishing they had just kept Linda (if nothing more than to spare her feelings, even though I did genuinely like her voice). I'm still waiting to hear more, though, since Bulma's and Gohan's new voices pleasantly surprised me. I would say "yes," ...

Re: Lend me your energy!
I think it's definitely this, with one exception. They push Goku's Super Saiyan 4 form past its former limit as he's fighting Yi Xing Long. But Gohan expresses major concern that Goku would die in the process. Sounds like a good battle strategy. Everyone pump energy into the enemy until he dies. :)

He technically asked if they were "immune to any sickness except heart sickness and nose cold from snow or not?".

Re: Are the Saiyans immune to any sickness?
Uhm, heartdisease anyone? Exactly. Goku got a virus that attacked his heart and killed him. It took the invention of time travel to save him, so yeah, they can catch diseases and even die from them. Honestly, why did it take more than 1 post for this to be brought up? Wasn't it already brought up?:...

Re: Does Bukujustu require a lot of Ki?
Comparing early Dragonball to late DBZ is comparing a gag manga to a much more realistic one. If Videl had existed within the first few volumes, I think she would've been capable of many of the same things as Goku. However, the harmless bullets and comical superstrength began to get phased out, leav...

Re: Dragonball Question
You can't really define the entire series as just one of those, and even a mix wouldn't be entirely accurate, since certain parts contain heavy elements of one with very little focus on the other. Dragonball really switches around. The first saga is mostly about the Dragon Balls with a little focus ...
