But don't worry - Columbia will release the complete Kikuchi score. Extremely determined and very influential people are now working on this project 8) That's awesome! :o Please, do keep us posted! (Unless, of course, you find that would somehow hinder the chances of this project seeing t...

Re: Glorious Anime Screenshot Thread
A while ago I took these screenshots from the Japanese Dragon Boxes, which are amongst my absolute favourite moments in the franchise. (I also included some alternate versions because I can't seem to decide which of them I like the most :shifty: ) Gogeta stares at Janemba before eliminating him: htt...

Re: Gohan lifts more than Goku?
Well, it seems clear to me that that boulder should weight somewhere in the vicinity of one million kilogrammes, if not more, though Tao Pai Pai's throwing of a stone pillar across thousands of kilometres is several orders of magnitude more impressive a feat. Nevertheless, of course, neither of thes...

Re: Is Vegetto the Strongest of Any Anime Characters?
Its more impressive because it operates on another scale beyond the comprehension of pretty much any human. We understand, for example, that a big planet or a star could be destroyed with a big enough explosion and Vegetto could do that. But a black hole? Whatever is capable of that is beyond our f...

Re: Is Vegetto the Strongest of Any Anime Characters?
The only thing magical was Buu's beam. The fact that Vegetto was so strong compared to Buu that Buu's magic didn't work properly doesn't make Vegetto magical or make him have magical abilities. That would be like saying that if Vegetto resisted Chaotzu's telekinesis because he is so strong compared...

Re: Is Vegetto the Strongest of Any Anime Characters?
Like what? Resisting Buu's candy beam is probably just because he's so strong compared to Buu that not even Buu's magic worked properly. Well, it's magic, ain't it? No, disappear or cease to exist in the same way that a person ceases to exist when she is killed. There are lots of ways a pers...

Re: Is Vegetto the Strongest of Any Anime Characters?
We have a pretty good idea of what Vegetto is and can endure. He is just like Goku and Vegeta and the other saiyans, but he has much more Ki and is stronger because of it. That's basically all there is to it. We have never seen the limit of Vegetto's power (plus I'm of the opinion DB has no limits)...

Re: Is Vegetto the Strongest of Any Anime Characters?
The thing is, no one knows what Vegetto can endure, but whatever may be needed to take him down just won't bust a black hole simply because there's no way to bust a black hole (note that this was the initial claim). So, in order to "destroy" one, you pretty much have to resort to the kind ...

Re: Is Vegetto the Strongest of Any Anime Characters?
Well, a black hole is probably much less complex than every other type of celestial object, actually. I also don't think it makes sense to say it's powerful (as in "character X is powerful"). And it does contain mass, charge and angular momentum, so I wouldn't call it imaterial either. Acc...

Re: Is Vegetto the Strongest of Any Anime Characters?
Why do you think it would also destroy Vegetto? What do you mean by "destroying a black hole" or making it "cease to exist"? And why do you think Vegetto wouldn't be able to destroy a black hole as well? (Using the same definition of "destroy", and assuming a universe w...

Re: Is Vegetto the Strongest of Any Anime Characters?
I am not criticizing other franchises. I am simply saying that a black hole, and the Big Bang, and other exotic phenomena, are not what you think they are, in such a way that it makes no sense to say that "character X is a black hole buster, therefore character X is a lot stronger than Vegetto&...

Re: Is Vegetto the Strongest of Any Anime Characters?
I'll just bring up my other post on this subject... I have always said that the strength of DBZ characters is commendable in the arena of fiction because: 1) They are comparatively "normal" and contained within a humanoid body 2) They are mortal 3) They exist solely in the physical plane ...

Re: Hilariously bad DB voice acting
The Portuguese dub of Dragon Ball premiered in autumn 1995 and ran until mid 1996, with Dragon Ball Z immediately following, and lasting til mid 1998. At the same time most of the movies and specials were released on VHS (DBZ movies 12 and 13 in particular had joint theatrical displays as well), whi...

Re: Hilariously bad DB voice acting
Now, how did I guess you would be posting a clip from the Portuguese dub as soon as I saw this thread's title?
No, seriously, this dub has achieved cult status in Portugal, with the voice acting being part of the reason.
