Re: Dragon Ball Z With Kai Dub
The center track on the Kai BD audio mix is the dialogue and sound effects. The problem you're probably going to run into if you're going to be mixing this in with the Z dub to plug the gaps is the Z audio isn't as cut and dry as "rip out the center track and use that", to be honest I've ...

Dragon Ball Z With Kai Dub
Hello all. Does anyone know of a means to strip dialogue and music separately from individual episodes? I'd like to mix Kai's dub over the original DBZ episodes. Understandably, as Kai is half the length, not all of the original dub will be replaced, not to mention any characters that have been redo...

Re: [DONE] Dragon Ball Z Kai: Bruce Faulconer/American OST Edition
How were you able to strip the dialogue from the music in the original mix?
If there is a means, I will undertake a new project myself. Namely, applying Kai's dub to Z.

Re: 30th Anniversary Blu-Ray vs. DVD Singles (Episode 68/118 onward)
This is ultimately one of those cases where FUNimation's revisionist history combined with their DBZ-specific home video release "quirks" (putting it lightly?) doesn't satisfy anyone. Want to watch what aired on Toonami exactly as it sounded on Toonami? Doesn't really exist on home video....

30th Anniversary Blu-Ray vs. DVD Singles (Episode 68/118 onward)
While there’s no contention on the Dragon Box being the best visual of the series, there is contention among dub watchers. For those of us that absolutely must have the Faulconer score, what is the best viewing experience? Considering that Season 3 and the Garlic Jr. Saga were largely redubbed, whic...

Re: Best/Your Preferred Dragon Ball Releases (DVD, Blu-Ray.etc)
For dubbed viewing: DRAGON BALL -1-13: Madman Saga of Goku Set -14-153: US Saga Sets DRAGON BALL Z -1-34: Level Sets -35-67: US Dragon Box -68-291: US Single DVDs *would it be better to view 68-70 on Dragon Box rather than singles since they don’t perfectly match the original uncut episodes? DRAGON ...

Re: Official Unofficial Power Level Discussion Thread
Not quite. I have criticized all the list I it's entity For the same reason. That same guy should have done a "better" list for DBS now, check it out I’ve seen that revised list. But sextillions for lower ranked competitors?? Come on now. We need a mid way. I think like you about this. Lo...

Re: Official Unofficial Power Level Discussion Thread
Too low even to be right. This range of numbers are OK if we are speaking of cell or buu saga, or maybe early gt. Quadrillions for bills? Don't mock me. This is what I think. Let's further analyze to see if there are errors: Lavender, Bergamo and basil are good buu tier : what are that high million...

Re: Dragon Ball Z - Season 9, Does It Look Better on DVD or Blu-ray?
Just for you, I'll blow up the DVD images when I get the chance lol Even when doing that little side-by-side, when I'd zoom in, they'd look so pixelated. I get your point though. Again, I never really went looking for the issues. I just kind of judge them as I see them as a whole. The most notable ...

All in all, a 1080p Dragon Box transfer would be the dream. I can only imagine how the original three series would look with such a restoration.

Re: Dragon Ball Z - Season 9, Does It Look Better on DVD or Blu-ray?
From a purely visual standpoint:
Dragon Box>Single>Orange Brick>Blu-ray.
I firmly stand by my opinion that the Blu-rays were butchered beyond repair.

Since they’re specials, I assume the two are meant to be viewed in 4:3 only and not 16:9 OR 4:3 like the thirteen films.

I see they’ve added all the films save for the Broly Trilogy, Fusion Reborn, and Bardock. Naturally.

Re: All-purpose Dragon Ball sale/trade thread.
Would anyone be willing to part ways with their Madman Saga of Goku DVD if they have it? I realize it's exceptionally rare and I'll likely just buy the MangaUK Season 1 set if I can't find it.

Re: Dragon Ball: Saga Sets vs. Yellow Bricks vs. Madman Box Sets
Woulda been nice but no. I didn’t think so. Commander Red and Fortuneteller Baba just arrived today, and my God, do they look great! If only some of the other saga sets weren’t so expensive. Yeah, it really does look fantastic and I'd dare say I prefer how the Saga Set footage looks over the Dragon...

Re: Optimal Viewing Experience
. The only that can be said about the Remastered releases is that perhaps the dub is superior. But, is it really? I'd say even that was better left untouched. For s1 and 2 that’s more debatable and it reallys come to if you prefer the Ocean cast or the Funi cast. Wasserman or Johnson. How much the ...
