Re: How watchable is Kai with the Kikuchi score?
I think that Kai with Kikuchi would have been watchable if Toei had enough money to use all of the released DBZ tracks. But because they don't have a budget for Kai anymore, they are only allowed to use stereo pieces for M700's and music from Movies 6-9 (which are all mixed in stereo). That loses a ...

For Dragon Ball, Definitely! For the Movies, Sure! For GT, yes for collection purposes.
It feels very complete to collect all of the Dragon Boxes.

Re: Why is the Replacement Score so Limited?
It is like I mention earlier:
I don't think they are putting the money they already have into all of the released tracks. That's pretty cheap of them.

Re: When will you be finished with your collection
Once I get Dragon Box 7 and the Remaining Parts of Kai, I am done purchasing Z for good.
As for Dragon Ball and GT, I'll have to wait until they announce the Dragon Boxes for them. I believe that they will release them.

Re: Why is the Replacement Score so Limited?
I think the replacement score is limited because it's cheaper I guess? I mean there are stereo tracks of movies 3, 11, 12 and 13, but they can't use them because it's cheaper to not get the rights to them. IDK, but that's my theory. Columbia is cheaper than Toei. This is the reason why most of the s...

Re: A Fellow Member Converts
I use to watch Z's english dub. Then I watched the Japanese version, and I was shocked how different (and better) it was. I will admit that I first found Masako Nozawa's voice for Goku to be ridiculous and unfitting. But after I watched more episodes (Mostly the Saiyan Arc), her voice quickly grew o...

Re: Dragon Ball (Z) Kai Kikuchi Version BGM Documentation
I am very disappointed in the selection of music. I really like the scores for Movies 3, 11, 12, and 13. All of the released tracks for those are in stereo. But they can't be used because "we don't have enough money for them". Columbia is cheap, that's all I can say.

Re: Why is the Replacement Score so Limited?
This is a shame. I did my own math by counting how many pieces were in Z. Special Thanks to Kenisu. There are about 380 pieces originally composed for Z. And by subtracting, here are the results: -There are 135 unreleased Z pieces and 245 released Z pieces. 64% of Z BGMs are released. -They can't us...

I plan on rescoring the Goku vs Vegeta fight with Shinji Miyazaki's Pokemon Score.
I'll let you guys know when I'm ready. Trust me, you'll be surprised.

Re: Dragon Boxes Being Discontinued? Concerned.
In my opinion, the whole "limited" thing is a marketing tactic. It is to get people to believe that if they don't buy them now, they will be gone for good. I don't think the Dragon Boxes are going anywhere for a while as of now.

I just got my Dragon Box 6 yesterday as well as Part 5 of Kai. Beautiful consistent quality as always. Once I get the Dragon Box 7 and the remaining parts of Kai, I will be done collection Z for good (Unless the DBox Movies are released).

Re: FUNimation to put DBZ on Blu-Ray
I have made my own decision that all 7 DBZ Dragon Boxes and Z Kai will be my final purchases for anything related to Z. Any re-re-re-re-re-release after those: Pass. IF they actually announce the Z Movies in Dragon Box format, I'll consider that my final Z purchase. I rather FUNI acquire the rights ...

Re: Dragon Ball (Z) Kai Kikuchi Version BGM Documentation
I wasn't really planning on doing a documentation for Kikuchi-Kai, since they're not even using unreleased tracks (which sucks all the fun out of it if you ask me), and from all the complaints I read on here, the music selection for certain scenes... leaves something to be desired. What's worse is ...

Re: Why is the Replacement Score so Limited?
I believe it's because they don't want to use any mono music, but those initial TV broadcasts were put together more hastily so they ended up with some mono pieces in there. Exactly. As a result, now they are using the pieces from early episodes (M700s), movie 6 to 9, and the Buu arc (M1700s). Othe...

Re: DragonBall Z Kai - Cable TV Version (NickToons)
I don't understand why they felt the need to add the echo-y effect in the ROSAT. There has to be some reason why they would do that. I really hope that the effect will disappear in the home releases.
