Re: Which translations do you prefer for characters' names?

Does Kanzenshuu have any plans to relase their styles guide to the public on the forum at any point?

Re: Which translations do you prefer for characters' names?

For the vast majority of translations/transliterations/adaptions etc I really do personaly and strongly agree with Kanzenshuu's decisions, especially Beerus (rather than Beers) and Tullece (vs. Tur-les). I think one of the only times I have ever thought Kanzenshuu handled something poorley was the c...

Re: Can Piccolo be classed as a God?

I think it would be reasonable to state that Piccolo is a demigod - Although no longer a god in his own right he still has divine blood running through his veins, figuratively speaking, which affords him some special abilities a non-divine character would not typically posses. For example; and pleas...

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō

Is it possible "Tarble 2.0" is actually a female saiyan?
The face is quite feminine...... Also, no tail, so maybe not even a saiyan?

I actually believe in all probability it is a male saiyan but still worth wondering about?

Re: "Dragon Ball XENOVERSE" (PS4/XB1/PS3/360/PC) Official Th

Hi guys and gals, I haven't been following this thread too much a d have trying to avoid any major spoilers..... As it wasn't going to see a Wii U release I've been deliberating for a long while now on getting the game, infact, I bought a pre-owned PS3 like 6 - 8 months ago in anticipation for this ...

Re: Gohan's lack of Mystic form explained?

Didn't he (Old Kaioshin) say power up as if you was to go Super Saiyan i.e power up in the same vain as you would when ascending to Super Saiyan (but don't become Super Saiyan)? Nothing was ever said that Gohan lost his Super Saiyan transformation was it, just that it was no longer necessary?

Re: Gohan's lack of Mystic form explained?

The way I see it, Gohan obtained the form/powerup in a very short period of time, as soon as he had obtained it he jumped in straight away to fight Boo. The aftermath of the battle led to something like 4 or 5 years of relative peace where he probably hasn't trained or revisited the Old Kaioshin's s...

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō

Neko Majin might be a cheeky little addition. I was wondering with mention of war on earth in U6 may lead to a retcon to include Sand Land? I know that the infamous Dragon Ball wiki and a faction of proponents elsewhere in the community try to push that Lucifer and Dabra are one and the same, which ...

Re: Big Picture: help wanted (update: rough draft-ish)

Hi Herms, I'd love to draw a few characters! My drawing is pretty good but Ia photoshop illiterate so someone would have to colour if that is o.k? I don't mind who I draw either! Is there a set style you would want it in? Chibi seems to be quite popular if you wanted to keep a similar aesthetic? And...

Toriyama and DBO

I have seen a few people say Toriyama was directly involved with many aspects of DBO, such as background story and character designs etc., yet I can't find any sources for this. Is this the case? Are there any sources for it? Did Kazenshuu/Daizenshuu EX ever do a podcast on DBOnline?

Re: Fanmanga - Dragon Ball New Age

Yeah my chinese translator (who knows Japanese) informed me about the error. It was fixed in the final version. Cool, hope you wasn't offended, I didn't mean any disrespect. The coloured pages by bejita135 are absolutely gorgeous. Do you think you would you consider a "Full Colour" releas...

Re: The nature of certain "esoteric" techniques.

This somehow sounds familiar, is it also from one of the Daizenshū?? It's from the manga. When Ginyu first meets Goku, he assumes his strength comes from the fact that he is a mutant, like they are. Thanks!! Its been ages since I read Dragon Ball, gotta be a good couple of years at the very least, ...

Re: All (or most) manga/Toriyama costumes

This is a really cool visual guide, thanks!! It answers something I wondered for a long time, without investigating much and only trying to call various character designs, I always assumed that Toriyama didn't like drawing wrists, as every time I tried to think of an example they had gloves, wrist b...

Re: The nature of certain "esoteric" techniques.

Tenshinhan's strange techniques were attributed to his alien ancestry in Daizenshuu 4, if I recall correctly. Yeah, people often overlook this, but the entire reason the daizenshuu introduce the idea of Tenshinhan having alien ancestry is specifically to explain how he can grow extra arms and split...

Re: Fanmanga - Dragon Ball New Age

I like the preview, I think it is nicely drawn!! Just a small comment, I don't want to offend, but the Japanese text in the upper right corner doesn't really work though, in my humble opinion. As far as I am aware 歴史 is generally used for the field of study, or history in general. I haven't come acr...

Re: Fanmanga - Dragon Ball New Age

I just wanted to say I just read all of the Rigor saga for the first time the other night (before that I hadn't read any DBNA). I really enjoyed it and look forward to reading the Aladjinn arc!! I'm really impressed by your dedication in redrawing some of the earlier stuff too, I was thinking when I...

The nature of certain "esoteric" techniques.

I was just wondering what peoples' thoughts were on "esoteric techniques" - specifically Tenshinhan's Shiyōken & Shishin-no-ken, and Gurd's Timestop. I was wondering if they are race/species specific - i.e constrained to the character through genetics, or if these techniques could be l...

Re: The Fan Character Death Battle - Rigor vs Xicor

In keeping with the pun is Rigor's name pronounced "rai-jor"?? Before I knew the pun I assumed it was pronounced rigor with a hard g, which always brought to mind rigor mortis. I definitely prefer the pun-based version! ! ;)

Couldn't you have put that in one topic? I don't think it would have fitted, it's almost 125,000 words long. I guess I could have tried, but I wasn't sure on the word limits of posts. Later I will try and fit it all in one post and delete the others. Did you read any?? I've subsequently tried to ge...
