Re: Gohan SSJ vs Gohan SSJ2 breakdown

So something that I think is important to distinguish is that, at this point in the series, the term Super Saiyan 2 had not yet been adapted. The term was used for the first time when Goku fought Fat Boo. When Gohan turned “Super Saiyan 2” against Cell, at the time it was strictly the manifestation ...

Re: What is if Black Goku and Zamasu killed Beerus in the future

The show could turn out differently but the manga adaptation makes it clear that in Trunks' future Kaioshin died fighting Dabra and Babidi, thus Beerus was killed along with him.

Re: The Official Unofficial Power Levels Thread

So how does everyone reconcile Goku and Vegeta's base powers in Super? I mean you have Goku going toe to toe with Final Form Freeza in base in one arc, but then in the Universe 6 and Future Trunks arcs they aren't implied to be that powerful. I mean Goku needed SSJ to beat Final Form Frost, who the...

Re: Which version of Super is the more official

The manga seems to make the most sense in terms of progression and consistency personally. Just curious if there was any definitive answer

Re: Which version of Super is the more official

Does AT have more involvement/input in the story for 1 vs the other?

Which version of Super is the more official

So basically, just what the topic states. I'm just curious which version of Super consider to be the more official because the television show and the manga have been drastically different (ex. Goku SSB KKx10 vs Hit). So what do you think and why?

Re: DBGT's existence

I don't mind DBGT's existence as find the series an enjoyable watch for the most part. I have three main complaints regarding GT. First are some of the ridiculous power implications, but this had been an issue going back to the Boo Arc and can be somewhat explained by the series taking on a more lig...

Re: The Official Unofficial Power Levels Thread

Also, the 8x multiplier is from the Super Exciting Guide. Like the Daizenshuus, the level of the authors involvement in aspects like battle powers and multipliers is debatable, but it is an official multiplier. Take that as you will.

Re: The Official Unofficial Power Levels Thread

Again, I'll reiterate that Dragon Ball isn't deep and Toriyama is very straightforward in his characterizations. If Goku outright says that can't beat Evil Boo, and it is not later contradicted as is the case with Fat Boo, it can be taken as fact.

Re: The Official Unofficial Power Levels Thread

You putting SS3 Goku above Super Buu and about on par with Buutenks (what. the. fuck?) really prevents me from taking this list seriously at all. Super > Pure was stated directly or indirectly about a dozen times; denying it is like saying that Nappa is weaker than a Saibaman. That, and having Fats...

Re: The Awkward Age

Is it possible that the initial work on Cell started in Age 764 after the cells of Freeza and King Cold were gathered? Adding 24 years to that would put Cell being completed in Age 788. Assuming that Cell meant that his total development time was 24 years and not 24 years from the point where he is ...

Re: The gap between #17 and #18?

I put 18 at about 85% of 17's power. A significant difference but not enough that 18 couldn't put up a little fight. I usually think of it as 18 being on par with weighted Piccolo with 17 being on par with full power Piccolo

Re: The Official Unofficial Power Levels Thread

Hey everyone, I'm new here but I love discussing battle powers. I'll be posting my list a little at a time with explanations where necessary. Let me know what everyone thinks. Bloomers and the Monkey King [September 1st - 10th Age 749] Son Goku: 25 [hungry]: 20 [Great Ape]: 200 Bulma: 4 Turtle: 2 Ka...
