This is only tangentially related, but out of all of the times I've seen that variation of the opening, this is the first time that I've realized that that face is Gero's, and that the wire hand represents the androids. I don't know why that never clicked before.

Well I think this a rare exception. At least in other shows FUNi releases with English title cards the titles at least resemble the Japanese name for the episodes. It can be really bizarre seeing such a contrast between the titles. Didn't they redo the text for the title cards with this release? Or...

Well, no. I don't think you'll find anyone who absolutely loves (or even likes) every bit of the filler Toei threw in.

But to be entirely honest, there are bits of the canon story that I don't really care for either, so, take that as you will.
