I actually really enjoyed this chapter and think it's definitely the closest thing to a good ending the manga as a whole has had. If it wasn't for Freeza of course. But Goku forgetting Pan. Honestly it makes sense with how he spends his time but it makes me feel bad. And definitely feels incongruous...

Dragon Ball just isn't the same without his touch. It literally couldn't be replicated and it's plain to see in any adaptation/spin-off without his involvement.

Complete legend that influenced my childhood more than anyone else and it wasn't at all close.

Funny thing is in the super manga Gohan already had a rage boost moment against Moro, and it amounted to nothing. And it was in response to Goku being in extreme mortal danger!:

I've actually enjoyed most of the interruptions to the tournament besides the majin Bra one, but that was almost entirely due to just how loooooooong it went on for. I just checked and it literally went on for 3 years.

I'm not at all eager for his return but I do like the idea of the manga version of him being an Agent Smith like entity in a tainted universe. Can replicate himself and has just taken over that particular universe but can't leave. And I'd like to see blue fusion level character vs like 1000 of him

It's incredibly ambiguous wording that's for sure. I take it to mean his base form overtook Vegeta but not Goku, considering it's a picture of his base form.

Dragon Ball should have ended after the Raditz fight. Goku is finally dead, his only son kidnapped by a demon and raised to be evil, and 2 aliens are going to destroy the earth in a year. The bad ending.

I think Broly is top dog but do genuinely think this is a fuck up of the broader super continuity, is a retcon, and that there just wasn't clear enough communication about this amongst Toyo and others.
