Re: Char. Relationships: Goku and Vegeta vs Naruto and Sasuk
Naruto/Sasuke because that was a way better fight than the Majin Vegeta fight. Ironic. Both fights in the manga was very short. While the anime made their fights into something(IMO) epic. Not surprised in Naruto's case, studio pierrot always have been doing a good job with Naruto (except fucking fi...

Re: Char. Relationships: Goku and Vegeta vs Naruto and Sasuk
^ I agree that Naruto and Sasuke's relationship was better than Goku and Vegetra's in the original Naruto.. if that's what you're trying to saying. but since Shippuden kicked in it got ruined. so i guess it's a draw ?! maybe.. i guess it is. since i'm not the type of person who will hate on somethin...

Re: Char. Relationships: Goku and Vegeta vs Naruto and Sasuk
Naruto and Sasuke's relationship was perfect in the first part of Naruto, you know.. when it was a friendship between two kids who understood each other due to their tragic childhood. none else knew how they feel or related to their feelings since they're the only kids who grew up without parents in...

Girls like "Bishounens" (cute, young, handsome boys) so i wouldn't be surprised. Especially with Future Trunks.Black_Liger wrote:Gohan is extremely popular with girls here in latino america. Same with Future Trunks.

Re: Lunch and Yajirobe - Pointless?
Launch is too awesome to be "pointless", Yajirobe can go to hell, not that i would care. i wish Toriyama forgot about him instead of Launch... *sigh* (in case he have to forget about some character, i choose forgetting yajirobe over launch. not that i hate him, he's ok)

No, and none should. you know, i can accept any characters having other VA -if it was good, of course- but not Goku, he's a special case.

Re: What Does Dragon Ball Have Over The Shonen Of Today?
Since HxH is being mentioned, I gotta say I started that recently and am just meh with it. The story is okay but I find Gon to be a dull protagonist and the artwork isn't really detailed. The only thing keeping me interested is Hisoka. It's the kind of show that keep getting better as it keep going...

Re: Movie titles: the bad, the bad, and the also pretty bad
The Japanese movies titles are bad cause it doesn't suit being a "movie title" a movie title should be something simple, yet describe the movie's context in a way -a simple way of course- cause in the end, it's a title. not a badly written synopsis. i just can't imagine myself calling a mo...

Re: What Does Dragon Ball Have Over The Shonen Of Today?
^ So how is Hokuto no Ken (FONS) any fun ? i didn't watch the show, but isn't it a heavily, tragedy show with a depressing setting and atmosphere ? how is that fun? How isn't a martial artist assassin roaming around in a post-apocalyptic future exploding evil thugs, bikers, etc into bits with badas...

Re: What Does Dragon Ball Have Over The Shonen Of Today?
Yu Yu Hakusho does a good job of coming up with good plots with some depth while keeping it fun. Never was a YYHS fan. I can watch it(even made an Amv of it) but nothing worthwhile that I througt was fun or enjoyable You probably mean tries too hard to be deep or complex, right? there's some Shoune...

You probably mean tries too hard to be deep or complex, right? there's some Shounen that really did a great job at being deep and complex.. FMA for example.TheGmGoken wrote:Most Shonen series aren't fun anymore and are either boring or tries to hard.

Re: What Does Dragon Ball Have Over The Shonen Of Today?
One piece is an amazing anime/manga. but it has problems, such as the repetitive scenario that happens in each arc. even with the impressive progressing in the story & the world building, it still feels boring when every arc follow the same formula. and the weird thing is that i don't find peopl...

Re: If a different mangaka wrote Dragon Ball
To be fair, even most of those "n00bs" don't think DBZ is better than Naruto or One Piece. Trust me, I've talked to several of them over the years. Yeah, you sure know a lot. if you really have that experience you're been talking about, you would know that Naruto is the most "Trolled...

Re: If a different mangaka wrote Dragon Ball
On the subject of Naruto vs DBZ, I'm sorry, but Naruto is infinitely better. The characters are more complex and not as black and white as DBZ's, the plots are more creative, the fights are significantly more varied, etc. Even if Naruto isn't doing so good now, it's still miles ahead of DBZ. Infine...
