Re: Dragon Ball Tabletop Games from IDW Games?

I think I've seen that game (and maybe another similar DBZ one) in Forbidden Planet Birmingham recently, but it's not on the FB website.

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

countries have nothing to do with it. Of course it does. Both versions are inaccessible to each other's audience without using an international forwarding service. No one who "missed out" on the original set can buy this one, and no one buying the UK set will be taking stock away from American fans...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

Who cares if it's limited to UK residents only. When something is a limited run, you can't just make another run in another country and say "oh it was 6000 for US only, we didn't say we would make more for other countries" It was always "6000 for North America only" because Funi only had the North ...

Just because Funimation give them to another company to sell doesn't mean it's ok to print more copies.
They're not "printing more copies" of the original set though, they're releasing a localised version in another market. You have to enter a UK shipping address to even order this version.

If you're sitting so close to your screen that this is your entire field of vision, I'd say you're sitting too close. No video will look good if this is your whole frame of view. Even just looking at those screenshots on my PC monitor, the artifacting is noticeable. That being said, the technology ...

1) They didn't edit the UUSE on Cartoon Network, that's why it was on quite late at first. https://i.imgur.com/3OCcgT0.jpg https://i.imgur.com/cHX5IDV.jpg As someone from outside the US who was introduced to the franchise in the early 10s, seeing the regular CN branding over something that violent ...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

Sold exclusively via the FUNimation UK store. Apparently it's the only thing that's sold on the Funi UK Store. Weird that they're not selling it through ShopManga. If the American set's $350, that works out to £280, making the UK set slightly more expensive. I suppose that makes sense when you cons...

Re: Dragon Ball Super To Air in the UK on Pop!

Pop made a mind boggling mistake tonight: they aired the first half of episodes 54 and 55 twice instead of the full episodes. I wonder if they'll add a repeat into the schedule to make up for that; 56/57 are still listed for Monday. Also, it's now listed that from Tuesday 17th both weekday episodes ...

Re: Are There Any Updates On The Harmony Gold Dub Of Dragon Ball?

The VHS capture those ad breaks came from (the complete broadcast, with ads and the opening/ending of the surrounding programs, but with like the first ten minutes of the soundtrack almost inaudibly quiet) has been around the interwebs in MPEG2/DVD format for at least a few months. The ads date the ...

Episode 36 and 37 (Vegeta vs Magetta and the start of Vegeta vs Cabba) were 3rd and 7th with 115,200 and 105,400 viewers. Monday 16th is scheduled to be episode 66 and then episode 1. I wonder if they're looping back to the beginning or if they're going to use the hour timeslot for a 'new' and old e...

Re: If Manga UK Were To Release 'Rock the Dragon'

a friend tells me they also removed every instance of "STAY TUNED FOR THE NEXT EPISODE OF DRAGON BALL Z"; they cut the episodes off just before the narrator says it. From what I've seen they usually left that in when it was the final episode of the disc. For some of them, it sounds like they remove...

I really don’t think Huber calling it Dragon Ball Z Super Broly really means anything.
Kinda funny though. See also: Mignogna's affidavit misspelling Colleen Clinkenbeard as "Coleen" Clinkenbeard.

So, on a scale of one to ten, how suspect is it that Chuck Huber consistently gets the name of the film wrong?

Re: Funimation Leaked Outtakes

I'm just amazed that one of the leaks is a four minute audio drama, complete with Faulconer music and sound design, where a bunch of Chris Sabat characters have an orgy. I'm not making that up. I can't imagine anyone involved is happy about these getting out because the humour's so crude and juvenil...

"Funimation are hypocrites"
Imagine being so detached from reality or human interaction that you'd equate unreleased outtakes with physical sexual harassment of co-workers.

Ah, I see that Funimation has borrowed the "central character with a plain background that looks bland on its own but makes the set stand out when you have a bunch together on a shop shelf, so you only use it for back-catalogue" style of DVD/BD artwork. This is generally something done for kids rele...

Episode 35 (Vegeta vs Frost) was Pop's 12 most watched programme of that week with 106,000 viewers. Can you please tell me how to see the ratings for Pop after 2018 so I can see Dragon Ball Super? Starting next week (Sep 2nd), Super gets a second episode added to its weekday slot and we'll get ten "new" episodes a week. Up to episode 55 is listed on EPGs, so Pop have apparently ordered more episodes than the 52 they started with. Episode 32/33 : https://streamable.com/z1i0e Episode 34/35 : ht...

There's a combined version of Movies 1 and 3? How does that work? oO Goku flies off to Roshi's at the end of movie one and is next seen on a plane with Roshi, Kuririn and Lunch. The dialogue also pretends they're somehow connected: Pasta mentions another group searching for the Dragon Balls and Pil...

Re: How to spot bootleg DBZ kai releases

Using single-layer discs instead of dual-layer ones is one giveaway. Any DVD with more than 3 episodes or Blu-ray with more than 4 is either dual layered or a bootleg.
