Re: Physical Strength In DB

Did I deny that? No, but it seems odd to call our specific fandom out on it, as if it's something we're known for doing above any other "power fantasy" genre. He didn't, you're stating that. The fact is that this low-end feat is pretty quick to be dismissed because of unproven statements supposedly...

Re: Physical Strength In DB

Goku and Beerus in the DBS manga chapter 4 threatened to destroy the entire universe with just thier physical blows At this point I could care less about how much they lift Did they really? Because I know that Beerus is at least a star buster with his massive Ki blasts but possessing physical blows...

Physical Strength In DB

Yeah, Goku struggled to lift 40 tons in base despite the fact that when he was a kid he could push a boulder that weighed a great deal more than 40 tons but is it necessarily an inconsistency? We know that whenever Goku, Vegeta, or even Yamcha(in filler scenes) wanted to boost their battle powers th...

Re: DB Characters Can Bust *insert celestial object here*!

That's fine and dandy but just coming in, dropping a list and walking out isn't discussion. You have a point? Fine. Discuss it. Dropping a list isn't discussion (Which is what these forums are for.) It's just a list...cool. What am I supposed to take from it? That you think X character can bust Y t...

Re: Power Levels & Effort

Interesting, seems like courage could be a factor and might explain why Cui vs Vegeta's fight with the exact same numbers of Goku vs Vegeta's fight ended up with different outcomes. I also imagine it could be why characters who are worlds weaker than others manage to survive being attacked by such s...

Power Levels & Effort

More power levels discussion, huzzah. But on a more serious note, what do you suppose counts as an actual 'advantage' as far as power levels go? We KNOW that the numbers are down in both the manga and Daiz, I don't have to repeat that. There is no universal agreement on what exact percentage will de...

Re: DB Characters Can Bust *insert celestial object here*!

When I started this little thread I was wondering what the possible reason was for certain fans to set down rules that DBZ characters had to be these sorts of astral busters and then I ironically get this particular response. Hmm, if Beerus can destroy a Universe that put's him around Galactus level...

Re: DB Characters Can Bust *insert celestial object here*!

Akira Toriyama even as of writing Beerus and Golden Freeza, seems to believe that planet busting is really as far as they should go just easier each time they power up. No Whis stated Beerus can destroy an entire solar system in an instant in BoG. He also stated that Beerus destroyed several stars ...

Re: DB Characters Can Bust *insert celestial object here*!

What does "busting" even mean? I've always been a little vague on that. We get statements like "Beerus might destroy the entire universe!" and some people seem to automatically take that to mean Beerus can destroy the universe with one big ki blast or something along those lines, though that's only...

DB Characters Can Bust *insert celestial object here*!

Why do you suppose that certain fans of DB have to absolutely speculate that as the characters get stronger, they then begin to reach levels of busting objects as large as stars, solar systems, galaxies, or even a whole universe? Akira Toriyama even as of writing Beerus and Golden Freeza, seems to b...

This is what me & my friends put together on the topic: http://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=88363&ref=57422 It would be better if you actually posted something from there on here rather than just put a link to it. Why bother making another post when there is already this one on the topic? Yo...

Re: Goku vs. Superman

Had Superman or any Superman character acquired the capability to destroy planets 30 years into the franchise? Really what were their abilities after 30 years? Dragon Ball characters became capable of destroying planets after 5 years, if Vegeta's statements can be trusted. Who knows, maybe in anoth...

Re: Goku vs. Superman

Deathbattle has determine twice, that Goku is not able to defeat Superman. Why? Because the way Superman is written is when he is pushed to the last straw, he'll always find a way to defeat any level of opponent he faces. Whether it be street thugs, mad scientists with super-tech, aliens gods and m...

Re: Is there an absolute upper limit on Human battle power?

If all humans had access to the same level of environmental conditions(higher gravity, less air, fluctuating temperature) and someone as strong or stronger to spar with for a long time then they could reach higher levels than what we see them. However in comparison to the Saiyans and Piccolo, the ga...

Re: Goku's training weights in DBS

Why does Goku's feat of lifting 40 tons have to be an inconsistency? If you just go to a gym you'll find that you can push something along the ground that is heavier than what you can lift, sometimes seemingly easy. The weight resting on the ground takes off a large amount of it's heaviness when jus...

Re: General What-If thread

Not just "any Saiyan" could become a SSJG, the rules of SSJG states that only pure hearted Saiyans can activate it as well as the fact that the power of the original SSJG may not be as strong as Goku. For all we know the power of the Saiyans who aid in its activation may further increase it's power...

Freeza is an outlier, his advanced physiology likely prevented him from being reduced to dust, and to a non-canonical extent Cooler was able to survive being placed on the sun's surface for a time despite Broly getting utterly incinerated by it. Cooler was only on the sun's surface, while Broly cou...
