Re: Can anyone explain this paradox? | Theorists I summon you!
Personally, I don't mind theories. I have plenty of speculation going on in my head. The problem comes when you have a topic looking for answers that don't exist yet. Lately it just leads to an entire forum full of people with theories that end up arguing (not debating) for half a dozen pages, clai...

Re: Can anyone explain this paradox? | Theorists I summon you!
I understand the desire here, but I really don't get why everyone is so impatient to jump on the "explain away the plot holes and paradox" train. Toriyama didn't actually say any of that though. All that was mentioned was that the story would jump around through time and may get confusing...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
The butterfly effect is just a matter of logic; Trunks has already told them about Black and that has to influence their actions in some way. So Black has affected his own past, whether directly or indirectly. But even if he had no influence at all, just the fact that Trunks exists in Black's past ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
The biggest problem was by far the fact that the anime presents a presumed causal loop of Trunks coming to the past for help with Black causing Goku to go to Universe 10 and trigger Zamasu's future actions, which shouldn't happen since Goku wasn't on the path for that interaction before Trunks' arr...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
So the manga won't have a time paradox? Yeah, it's much better written. Not so true, depends how things play out. I assume you're thinking that Zamasu travels to Trunks' world and stays there with/creates Black? Things could still unravel into a paradox, but the manga is doing a good job at avoidin...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Early on, Beerus says that Black's ki feels like "Son Goku, yet not Son Goku". He was referring to Black, not Black's ki. Black's ki is similar (if not the same) as Zamasu, that's why Whis and Beerus go to him in U10. He was specifically referring to Black's ki. "Son Goku, yet not So...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
I'm not even sure if this is what you guys are talking about but I think the Zamasu we saw in Future Trunks timeline, is the Zamasu from our present time line. He's just from further down our timeline. So he's gotten the immortality, killed Zamasu and then traveled to the same point as Goku and Veg...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
It looked to me like they were watching him through Whis's staff, not right there. So presumably he's going to have time to do whatever. And I don't know how much they would rely on this, but Whis's speculation was that he would wish for Black first, so maybe they still won't expect him to be immort...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
I thought the immortality theory was dead for a minute there. But then we were reminded of the time rings, so that's still a possibility. That said, in the minute I thought the immortality theory was dead, my mind was racing for other possibilities as to how it might go down. A few things came to mi...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
I doubt we'll see Gohan tonight, but I also doubt that line was a red herring. It would be pointless trolling. He'll get his day in the time chamber sooner or later.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
That's not how immortality works in the Dragon Ball universe. In the entire franchise, I think Zamasu is the first immortal character and that's mean he will never die, including his own body. As I mentioned before, when Kaiôshin die, they still exist in Otherworld. We saw this with Kaiô and Rou Ka...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
I commented on this before, but I suspect it's because Zamasu is the one with the immortal body of a god, which is an important thing to them. But in the end, they were able to agree to attack him together; I don't think it's a huge deal to either one of them who kills him, though both of them want...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
And it was established that he'd never met Goku before, so everything he knows about Goku has to come from Black. Not necessarily...the verb Zamasu used when talking about meeting Gokuu ("au") doesn't exclusively refer to a first encounter; his line could've also been translated as "...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Why would Present Zamasu with Goku's body travel exactly to Trunks' timeline? I assume his main motive was to escape the main timeline and the wrath of Beerus. Beyond that, since he didn't know anything about the other universes, he probably just picked one randomly. Black is not inmortal, as we sa...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Why would Black aka Present Zamasu promise Future Zamasu that he'd let HIM kill Goku when present Zamasu should be the one with the bigger grudge? Black doesn't even say " I want to kill Son Goku, he says his body wants him". I commented on this before, but I suspect it's because Zamasu i...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Black has been shown to do a majority of the purging though. How so? We know he's been doing the purging on Earth, and a few other planets. Presumably Zamasu is working on other planets. In fact wouldn't it be quite risky to contact your future self? How so? Also why would Black travel specifically...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Why would Future Zamas u want to kill Goku then? He never met him. He said he never met him. How does this theory change that? He also said why he wants to kill him: because he had the audacity to challenge the gods. Presumably he learned about that from Black, who would have had to explain why he ...
