Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Am I the only one which found that Belmond scene in chapter 28 a bit disturbing?

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

I just read chapter 28. The second part took me by surprise, I was expecting a Goku vs Toppo, not that! Wow!

Re: Super Episode 108 (24 September 2017)

Comments on this episode: - The narrator again says that Frost used the Reverse Mafuba technique... how the hell could he know it though? Fictional fighters are quick at learning techniques after seeing them once, to dodge/repel (do you remember the classic "The same attack won't work twice" trope ...

Re: Super Episode 108 (24 September 2017)

Not exactly a bad episode, although in the first part very little happened. I do wonder why writers are making Gohan performing so bad during the tournament. I do not pretend him to be able to beat Golden Frieza after about half day of training... but however not even to have him always need someone...

Re: Super Episode 107 (17 September 2017)

I can't believe the amount of death beams Frost fired at Roshi and not an ounce of blood was exposed... Are you forgetting the "non-killing rule", and that Frost expressly said he's holding back, trying to not kill his opponents? And are you forgetting that you can cut some one up without killing t...

Re: Super Episode 107 (17 September 2017)

If one thinks at tournament rules, a cold "logic" approach would have been let Roshi die, then hide his corpse under some ground, hoping that nobody will find it. Technically, it would have counted as an additional point at the end of the match. So, win the mach and then use Dragon Balls to revive ...

Re: Super Episode 107 (17 September 2017)

why do people think frost is going to betray frieza? Because the next episode preview shows Frieza walking away from Frost (leaving his back open) and Frost charging ki in his hand. But we know episode previews can (intentionally) be misleading, so maybe that ki will result aimed to someone else. W...

Re: Super Episode 107 (17 September 2017)

Can I ask... why, instead of using Mafuba to hit a little bottle, don't aim it directly outside the arena? PS: About the episode... good, I liked it. However maybe some parts were a bit too much predictable. The episode title itself spoilered here was a trap (and maybe spoilers in episode ...

Re: Angels are not supposed to freeze after their universe vanishes!

IIRC, Angels are forbidden from actually interfere with anything. Somewhere (I think in the manga, maybe also in the anime?) Whis said he can only "train" others, he cannot partecipate to "real" fights. Hence, even if in Future Trunks timeline Whis was still existing and not "frozen" as someone gues...

Re: Super Episode 106 (3 September 2017)

Am I the only one who hated how Vegeta and Goku were running like Naruto characters for a moment, before they started firing their blasts? It was lame, when have DB characters ever run like that? I would have preferred if they ran like Goku and Krillin used to as kids, when they trained under Muten...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

I just read chapter 26. Goes as expected, and it's even good to see that Future Mai says a few words to Pilaf (IIRC, in the anime it looked like she ignored the small trio, apart from giving a quick look to Small Mai), but: - As often Toyotaro tends to explain things a little more than Toei, I expec...

There might be an error in the opening post.

Re: Has King Kai essentially been retired?

We'll probably see more of him soon, since I'm sure Vegeta is going to want to learn how to use kaio-ken eventually, especially if it has anything to do with reaching this new form Goku is going to be using. Uhm, I find that unlikely. If he wanted to learn "SSBB+KK", he may have done it after the U...

Re: Has King Kai essentially been retired?

At this point, he's a bit out of his pay grade. He's the overseer for a single quadrant in a single universe. King Yemma would have firmer grounds to stage appearances on since his position as the adjudicator of souls can impact everyone , regardless of their moral orientations or vocational status...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

My issue currently is that we have recently seen that if you're strong enough, Hakai can be resisted and controlled. Wasn't merged Zamasu strong enough??? I mean, he was merged frickin Zamasu, yet he just got half of his body annihilated with no resistance. Here you are comparing an anime scene (ep...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

I just read chapter 24. I liked it. The moment Goku stopped his aura, for a moment I thought he was going to activate kaioken like he did with Hit in the anime... I was wrong. However I appreciated Toyotaro's ideas... he's successfully keeping he story interesting even for who already watched the an...
