Re: Dragon Ball Super in Portugal
Just heard Simon's Vegeta for the first time and yeah, it's horrible. It's not only the performance, the voice just doesn't fit Vegeta. Worse than that only Victor Rocha's Vegeta. Loy hearing this will just make his ego bigger, but honestly Simon is nowhere close to his level, unlike Miguel Raposo ...

Re: Dragon Ball Super in Portugal
Frankel needs to find his own Vegeta voice. He seems to be trying to emulate Loy's mannerisms (screaming his lines basically) and that's not doing wonders, considering that Loy's mannerisms were annoying even when Loy was doing them. He's still doing what he was hired to do, just like every new act...

Re: Dragon Ball Super in Portugal
Frankel is weird as Vegeta, his screams are great but he clearly needs to get used to the character, and I'm sure he will, it's also a matte of habit.

Re: Dragon Ball Super in Portugal
I just can't agree with the opening , while the mixing was off Raposo just sounds way more energetic than Feist I love it, would take that eco they put on his voice ( I love that little WOOOH he does right before the chorus kicks in). As for Beerus I kind of agree, his voice is okay but Spínola was ...

Re: Dragon Ball Super in Portugal
There are some posters announcing new episodes of Dragon Ball Super on Biggs on some bus stops around my city. Nice! And with screenings of the first 2 episodes of the ''new dub'' in a cinema. Really exciting times to be a Dragon Ball fan. Did they really show these episodes in the cinema? Yes, the...

Re: Dragon Ball Super in Portugal
I know it's totally unrelated, but speaking of MHA, I caught an episode of the dub and noticed the opening was undubbed, despite there being a dubbed version of it released on the official MHA FB page a few months ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LoVtprW9OVk. Did something happen licensing-wise...

Re: Dragon Ball Super in Portugal
It probably won't happen, but I think that if Biggs is successful with DBS, they should get the license for Kai and order a dub later on. Specially now when the main characters have new voice actors, and it would bring some context to those watching DBS that aren't familiar with Dragon Ball. This i...

Re: Dragon Ball Super in Portugal
Things like this make me wish Biggs got Super in 2016, Super being actually marketed from the start and at least it would've already aired from start to finish already.

Re: Dragon Ball Super in Portugal
Got it too and saw it playing with subs on a FNAC. The player and TV (and I assume the disc itself) were pretty good because the upscale actually looked HD. Too bad the subs are yellow and still the same as the ones played in cinemas ("No one is stronger than the Sacred Dragon"). Props fo...

Re: Dragon Ball Super in Portugal
Well, just got my Broly DVD and it's a Portuguese version of the Selecta Visión release distributed by Films4you. It just feels so good to have a portuguese home release of Broly, even it's just a DVD. Here are some photos: https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/asL6hLwCD7HDea5cWQweCTwC2PI4cS7In3ImhQMIHm...

Re: Dragon Ball Super in Portugal
Miguel Raposo is Goku and Simon Frankel is Vegeta.
The new VAs start in DBS episode 105.

Re: Dragon Ball Super in Portugal
I managed to catch the episode while I was there and it was honestly really bad. I know Simon is a good actor and all, but the voice he chose for the character belongs to Gohan, not Vegeta, hell at times it sounded like he was trying to imitate Miguel's Goku. I agree to a certain point since I only...

Re: Dragon Ball Super in Portugal
Looks like Vegeta may be played by Simon Frankel, according to a friend of mine he was the only new name in the end credits, so it may be him. I really like his past works so I'm curious to see how he'll tackle this character. I managed to catch the episode while I was there and it was honestly rea...
