Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread

How much stronger do you guys suppose Ultra Instinct and HP Jiren are than SSB Fusion? I've seen a lot of things thrown around. Exactly the same level, weaker, slightly stronger, dozens of times stronger, and even hundreds of times stronger. Personally, I think the truth is somewhere between slightl...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread

So, I've thrown this out before, but how powerful do you guys think the base Saiyans were in the Broly movie before Broly amped up with Oozaru power to surpass Super Saiyan Vegeta? Goku, Vegeta, and Broly were all pretty much equal in power in their base forms before Broly started adapting and drawi...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread

Eh, Fusion wasn't used against Jiren despite Merged Zamasu being the weaker one. Besides that, the Tournament of Power didn't allow for good use of Fusion anyways. Not to mention that Fusion doesn't seem to factor in Ultra Instinct into its power boost seeing as how the form is consistently displaye...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread

Seeing as how Ultra Instinct is portrayed as generally on the same level as if not vastly superior to even SSB Fusion, I'm inclined to think that HP Jiren surpasses SSFP Broly by a fairly wide margin. I will grant that SSFP Broly might be stronger than regular FP Jiren, but ONLY in raw power, and ce...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread

Going off of Resurrection ‘F’, both movie and retelling, true form Freeza was weaker than base for Goku even with his Golden form being stronger. I'm talking about now. They're all within the same general range such that they pretty much stalemate one another. Hos base would be weaker if Golden Fre...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread

How strong would a hypothetical Ultimate Goku be if Old Kaioshin got a chance to give it to him? On par with SSBKK Goku from 123? Rivaling his Omen self in its various appearances? Ultimate is all about bringing out the maximum power you have and some more. Maybe at the power level of Ultra Instinc...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread

All 3 of them are pretty much equal in their respective forms anyways. Base/SS Goku and Vegeta are even with Final Form Freeza, and SSB is equal to True Golden Freeza. Going off of Resurrection ‘F’, both movie and retelling, true form Freeza was weaker than base for Goku even with his Golden form b...

Re: Are Power Scalers a cause or symptom of toxicity in the fandom?

Seems as though we created the very thing we sought to destroy.

But I guess that's just one of the facets of being part of the community.

Re: Are Power Scalers a cause or symptom of toxicity in the fandom?

As I said before, the concept and sometimes execution isn't toxic or even bad in and of itself.

However, it can be misused to put down the opinions of others, spread a bad message, etc.

Re: Are Power Scalers a cause or symptom of toxicity in the fandom?

As others have said, the actual idea is perfectly fine. It's just that, when toxic elements are already present, they can be amplified through the usage of otherwise neutral ideas such as this one. Power scaling is but another means of spreading a certain mindset; nothing more, nothing less. Can be ...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread

Actually, SSB at under 10% power is below SSG.

It seems like the manga's stamina-draining normal SSB could rest around approx. 5 times greater than SSG, while its completed state is an exact 10 times like in the anime and recent movie.

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread

Sounds like reaching, honestly. Beerus is important, yeah, but nothing has actually concretely stated recently that this is still the case when the evidence points to enemies coming out that are stronger than Beerus. But since you're not likely to budge on the matter, I'll just leave ya to believe ...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread

Something to keep in mind when I compare god-forms to non-god-forms is that I assume that Goku and Vegeta have "closed the gap", so to speak, on SSG's power. The jump from base to SSG before they made that power their own is higher because it wasn't a part of them at the time, at least in my mind. S...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread

Jiren is above Beerus, that much is without question. Whis, upon seeing him fight back the Genki-dama with a glare knew the rumor of a non-God being above Hakaishin was in-fact true. Note this is before the several times Jiren ever even starts fighting seriously. Never mind his final power-up which...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread

If they simply outright said "Beerus is the current benchmark that no recent antagonist has hit just yet" now, there wouldn't be a debate. But they haven't. They've tiptoed around the idea, seeding the potential and letting the fans decide for themselves. For example, i could easily say "Broly is on...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread

You say "this proves that this subjective interpretation of the non-exact facts is correct", I say "this proves that this interpretation of the non-exact facts is correct". No one has the actual undeniable facts here. You could be right, but so could I. You could be linking Toriyama and the evidence...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread

^TOEI and Toyo already said they do not change up Toriyama's main plot. Adding superficial mechanics to forms doesn't change the story narrative about Beerus's intrigue or character themes from Toriyama. ^Toriyama's statement is definitely relevant cause BoG is what continues Dragonball and began S...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread

And that was 2013 back when Battle of Gods released and Resurrection of F wasn't even on the horizon yet a.k.a. not that recently like I highlighted and highly likely to not be all that relevant now. Also, the evidence generally goes against the statement, since it's just a generalization and not so...
