Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

This is easily going to be the best chapter for me since we're finally getting some Caulifla and Kale action. I am curious if this chapter will focus only on one fight though, not that I'd have an issue with that since this was fight I wanted to see happen.

Re: Official "DB Super 2018 Movie" Discussion Thread

Nice to see more designs revealed, liking the coats on Vegeta and Goku. New characters look good as well and I hope that there's more to them than just being one note fodder. But I know better than to get my hopes up as that's probably the role they'll fill. Freeza looks great as well and it seems l...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Personally I feel like this tournament would have been better if it had 40 fighters instead of 80 or had been a traditional tournament. I mean I'm sick to death of traditional tournaments in Dragon ball but at least with fewer fighters we would have gotten more creative and entertaining battles then...

Re: "Jump Force" Official Discussion Thread

Dunno if I'm a big fan of this game being set in our world I'd rather have the iconic locations from each respective series instead, but I'll guess we'll see though. I felt same way but it always looks wierd seeing the other characters in other worlds. I like the idea of bringing just a few element...

Re: "Jump Force" Official Discussion Thread

This game was certainly a surprise although it doesn't look all that good to me, just not a fan of that art style. I am interested to see which characters get added to this game though.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Agreed about Ribrianne. Her love schtick is what I liked about her. Toei did indeed overuse that aspect about her character, but it didn't bother me too much to the point where I downright hated her. I found her to be pretty enjoyable throughout the tournament and her love routine never bothered me...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

I don't mind the abilities that were given to the fighters in the anime, but I do mind how much that focus dragged out the tournament. If you're referencing how the Trio de Dangers don't have the same abilities in the anime, I'll point to the emphasis on their synergy. So far, nobody else in the to...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

The fighters with unique abilities were 1. Botamo 2. The invisible fighters 3. Ribrianne 4. Dyspo I didn't think of Botamo when I wrote my original comment as I was talking about the new fighters introduced this arc, apologies if I didn't make that clear. I'll give you the invisible fighter but I d...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Some appeals of the ToP outside of fan service: -A hectic battle situation, the likes that nobody has ever seen before -mysterious new fighters from different universes with strange abilities and formidable strength -further development of the power of gods (seen through Goku, Vegeta, and Toppo) -f...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Here's a hot take for you all, the only thing this tournament had going for it was the fan service and the spectacle of the fights. Even if the anime version of the tournament wasn't a incoherent mess I still wouldn't have cared much for the story behind it. And that's how I feel about the manga to ...

Re: What’s everyone’s opinion on how the manga has so far handled the Universe Survival arc compared to the anime?

Just like the anime the manga started off great but quickly became disappointing this time for different reasons. Even more so than the anime due I wish we could have just skipped right to the U7 vs U11 fight. I'm hoping that it improves in the second half as so far I've been very underwhelmed with ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Legends" Official Discussion Thread

Been playing the game for a few days now and I'm liking it so far. Story is decent and I'm interested to see were it goes, also like Shallot and Zahha more than I thought I would. PvP is the only thing I'm not liking that much as more often than not I'm either fighting someone who's way lower than m...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

I know I said a while back that I wouldn't mention the tracing again but boy is it hard to. It's not even because of the tracing now but the fans that flat out refuse to believe what Toyo did was tracing despite all the evidence. The sheer amount of ignorance on display from these few fans is both a...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

On the topic of the tracing controversy I'm disappointed with the amount of fans who defended what he did and tried to make up excuses as why it wasn't tracing or what he did wasn't that bad. I was going to mention this yesterday but the thread ended up getting locked, but this is the last I'll ment...

I'll just trace what everyone else has said at this point and say I'm disappointed to see a professional artist such as Toyotaro do this.

I'm hoping that the fights improve in the second half of this tournament because so far I've found most of them to be pretty lacklustre and forgettable.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Overall I think this was a good chapter and to me was much better than chapter 35. Only thing I really didn't like this chapter was how 18 elimination was handled. As much as I like Ribrianne I was pretty annoyed that 18 didn't just blast her right away. This is a tournament for survival she shouldn...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

The manga just hit the first low point for me as I'm really not a fan of how certain someone's elimination was handled this chapter. Other than that though it seems like a pretty solid chapter.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

While I'm a tad bit salty that Ribrianne and 18 both get taken out this chapter by the invisible lizard I'll be kinda okay with it as long as the fight between those two is good. Seems like she fights together with her other teammates from what I can read which is something I wanted to happen in the...
