Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread

Nice rebuttal there, mate... :| The dude is right, ssj god most impressive feat was against berrus in bog arc (in the anime), and since then ssj god hasn't done anything special in terms of winning a fight by itself. However, it is still an impressive form in the manga and is involved in key plot p...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

I dont know if I'd agree completely. The anime filler makes t quite apparent Buu only became a serious threat to them aftr he absorbed their strongest member, becoming huge buu. After that he turned into fat buu and becomes tamer. Huge Buu was stronger than Super Bu and Kid Buu as proved by comment...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread

Wrong Whis says vegeta COULDN'T EVEN use 10% of his strength! Not that he was! So mssj blue is 50x ssj god. Ssj blue multiplier fluctuates since the form drains energy. He wouldn't have brought up that figure if it was considerably less than 10%, otherwise he would have just said something like 5% ...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread

Aside from stopping Beerus' attack all those are somewhat useless. Vegeta never really fought as a Super Saiyan God he just used it to quickly transform into Super Saiyan Blue which was being of any use. Goku used it on Zamasu but he was said to be weaker than Trunks so Goku could have used Super S...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread

Um, SSG Vegeta vs. SSR Black. SSG Goku vs. Zamas. If you want to count "showings", SSG Goku destroyed Beerus's huge attack in the manga and SSG Goku overpowered Hit before he activated his max power. Aside from stopping Beerus' attack all those are somewhat useless. Vegeta never really fought as a ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Perhaps the former Kaioshin's caught him, which is why Daikaioh is here? They were all strong enough to kill Freeza in a single blow before he came back in Super, and most likely would have given everyone trouble had the villains after not been dependant on regeneration. For all we know these guys ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

I wonder how a threat that was subdued by just the Galactic Patrol will be able to threaten Goku and Vegeta. Unless the prisoner is millions of years old and was captured with the help of the kaioshin and even Beerus and has been imprisoned at Galactic Patrol HQ or its most guarded prison ever unti...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

There are some preliminary fighters that were a bit important like Krillin's Bullies, King Chappa, and Yajirobe, and then there were fighters like Panputto who were even less memorable than some of the preliminary fighters. No character is owed any type of performance no matter the quantity they oc...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Give me a reason they are different from a narrative point of view. Also, being chosen doesn't mean a thing. Remember Panputto? The context is the difference. The preliminaries aren't the main event, so unless you're being set up as a rival, everyone is dealt with either off-screen or easily. The T...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread

I feel vindicated in my theory that SSG just isn't very strong in new material, especially since the manga version entirely excluded most of the hype it got (e.g. no "fusion wouldn't work against Beerus" line). Even ignoring anime-only sequences as typical Toei nonsense, we have: -SS1 Goku outperfo...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread

But in the manga, ssj god is still pretty hype. They go out of their way to show ssj god as being FAR above ssj forms Has Super Saiyan God ever actually won a fight outside of cheap shotting Trunks in the manga? Its best showing was probably in the anime when it was shown to have an advantage over ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

What's not for me to decide? The role a character has. If I'm told there's gong to be a tournament with 80 contestants and I'm shown a page spread of every team, I'm not going to think that the majority of them won't even do anything. I don't care if they're used to hype others, that doesn't tell m...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

"I dont think people would care about Chapa and the other preliminary fighters at the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai getting thrown away easily if Chaozu and Yajirobe hadn't been shafted." Those 80 are main contestants, they're not the same as preliminary fighters fom the Tenkaichi Budoukai. In what way ar...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

The manga and anime are both flawed, the manga composition is bad and the anime production was a nightmare that caused many problems. The anime and manga are both a success, the anime ranked on top 10 ratings from start to finish, the manga started as a promotional manga but grew into popularity an...

What Happened to Frieza During the Buu Saga?

Frieza said in 'Ressurection F' that if Earth was destroyed then the special hell he was in would also cease to exist. If this is the case, then what happened to him when Kid Buu destroyed the Earth?

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

When there are 2 versions of the same story it's only natural that they will be compared. Saying, "Haha, you compared the manga to the anime, that means the manga is bad," is really meaningless. Also, other posters post things in unrelated threads like,"I'd give super an 8/10... Unless you're talki...

Is this some people's first day on the internet? Nothing here is "objective facts". No statement on quality is ever going to be "factual". There is no such thing as unbiased objective criticism. It's all opinions, it's always been opinions, opinions are all it's ever going to be. Any statement othe...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

You see the timeline of past OG Dragonball continued by the Super manga up to the current Broly movie. It's labeled "legitimate sequel." However, you claim it's not talking continuity. Of course, sure I do take this was somekind of official statement, however its ends are merely promotional. ...

How good of pacing would you say the manga had for the: Battle of Gods arc: ? U6 vs U7 arc: ? Future Trunks arc: ? ToP arc: ? BoG: Decent Champa: Good Future Trunks: Slow as hell ToP: Slow at the beginning and now rushed on its finale. I am not gonna watch a whole 10 minute video with a clickbait t...
