Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

Oh, the counter just dropped to 0 units remaining and it now says Sold Out. So that's it, then. Close to 4600 people bought the set (although a lot of those are probably scalpers since you can order up to 5), which is a pretty meager number in the grand scheme of things. Hopefully FUNi translates t...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

Toei apparently sent Funimation a copy of the Broly movie that had a green tint. They probably think this new remaster looks fine. IMO the fact that Toei have never kicked up a fuss about how Funi have handled Dragon Ball both now and in the past means they really don't care. Yeah, it certainly see...

Re: Backing Up Dragon Ball DVDs and Blu-rays 2.0

It's mostly that i prefer having them split up into the individual episodes themselves because trying to watch all those 1-2 hour long files can get pretty taxing on me. I often long for this option when it comes to my rips of the Dragon Box for the OG series because it can be a bit of a faff tryin...

Re: Backing Up Dragon Ball DVDs and Blu-rays 2.0

s Yeah, that works too. There are many ways to rip/backup your DVDs. :) Yep, it definitely works and certainly takes up much less space on my PC than all those movie length files with the episodes all together so. :D Well, it wouldn't take up less space, since it's the same data, just spread out ov...

Re: Backing Up Dragon Ball DVDs and Blu-rays 2.0

s You can do the same kind of thing in DVD Decrypter too, by going into IFO mode, selecting the PCG containing all the episodes, and unticking all the boxes except for the chapters containing the first episode before ripping, then uncheck those and check the ones containing the second episode befor...

Here's a very in depth video regarding the set and the general history of the series on home video here, it was definitely an interesting watch. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=spii3SOhi0Y It really is like 2006 all over again, i swear it's like Funimation higherups didnt noticed there are social med...

Re: Backing Up Dragon Ball DVDs and Blu-rays 2.0

MKVToolNix has proven to be an easy tool to use for splitting the episodes up on my later FUNi Dragon Box Z volumes, as well as all my GT singles, Blue Bricks and Kai Part volumes which all read as the long movie length files in MakeMKV. This definitely makes it easier for me to have them all separ...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

The UUE were a good DBZ release too, Super Saiya Man, but again.. Cancelled! FUNimation can do a proper remaster but they just can't be bothered to because they know a low quality release is just as, if not even more profitable than a high quality one. FUNimation isn't interested in making a respec...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

I’ve accepted the fact that Funimation isn’t going to change their remastering processes. This could be our last chance to get an English dub of Cha-La Head-Cha-La and We Gotta Power for the English dub with Japanese bgm. I wonder if enough fans ask Funimation, perhaps they’ll include it? Or they c...

Re: "A Hero's Legacy" Dub VA Peter Mayhew Passes

R.I.P Peter, and while Chewbacca remains by far the most known of his by fans it's cool that he contributed to the Dragon Ball franchise even if just in the Goku Jr. special and also being one of the few times that FUNimation had someone not in their regular stable of in house VA's provide the voice...

Re: Custom Dragon Box covers/cases

When you can, get some photo paper because that'll make it pop even more. That's what I did for the R4 Saga of Goku to go with the rest of my Dragon Ball Saga sets. It really makes all the difference. These are awesome, BluezaBladeNZ! I think I have an idea for a project idea for these in the futur...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

I'm not too surprised that this release doesn't have the Japanese title cards or the next episode previews, because that's been pretty much par for the course of every release of the series put out by FUNimation aside from the Dragon Boxes. It's pretty much a given that their multi generation film m...
