Re: Vic Mignogna

I've already made my opinion known on this topic but now I really think this thread should be locked or even deleted now. Its gotten past the point of simply debating something non-DB related(I mean really, Kanzenshuu is not a courtroom or a support group) and is now a showcase on hostility between...

Re: Dragon Ball more popular than Sonic and Mario

I'm going to throw my hat in the ring and say that Goku's had more character development than Mario. He goes from a wild boy in the mountains who can barely lift a turtle to a family man who is so strong he can decide the fate of the universe. Mario was a jolly plumber trying to rescue a princess fr...

Re: The whys about Japanese Adult Goku's Voice

If people can't tell the difference between child Goku and adult Goku then they've not actually listened to Nozawa's performance(s).

Re: I've created a guide to the continuities of Dragon Ball

Am I the only one who finds that chart in the first post completely fucking nonsensical? Even with the "explanations" below (or perhaps because of them...?) I have no idea what information it's supposed to be conveying or what the layout represents. I'm not even sure if "Continuity 2" is actually on...

Re: Did have any purpose that Goku become a Kid in GT?

http://www.oocities.org/televisioncity/cable/9338/dbgtfaq.htm#t1_tag Q: Why was Gokuu turned into a child? A: The scriptwriters felt that it would be too hard to do anything with the adult Gokuu after he defeated Majin Buu. Further, the show has always revolved around Gokuu's growing stronger. So, ...

Re: Best looking Dragon Ball movie: The Path to Power or Super Broly?

The 10th anniversary movie has very very pretty individual frames, but seeing as it's called animation and not still life...the Super Broli movie. For my money the best, most dynamic animation DB has ever had and it's not even close. The sheer thrill that comes with its sense of motion alone is brea...

Re: How many Super Saiyan hair colors exist as of yet?

When was cyan in the 08 special? Goku had a blue Super Saiyan aesthetic going, when defeating AvoCado, due to the lighting of their ki blasts. Yeah, but... that's just lighting/effects, though? Why is it included? It's like saying "purple" is a Saiyan hair colour because of this: https://i.ytimg.co...

Re: Chris Ayres' current condition?

Oh so it is him voicing Freeza in Broli? Excellent news. Glad he seems to be on the mend. COPD can be a horrible disease and from what we know he's lucky to be alive. From what I've heard of his understudy Daman Mills he sounds fine but it's clearly someone doing an impression of Ayres. Seeing the d...

Re: Are the characters younger in DBS Broly?

Dude, I could explain it all day I've yet to see evidence of that. and I'm sure you'd still throw a fit so again I'm standing by my original post. With that said, I don't believe Toriyama made a mistake when Bulma said she was 38 and I don't believe the characters are suppose to be younger in the B...

Re: Are the characters younger in DBS Broly?

Nobody said there were three years between the DB hunt and the first tournament. Grimlock just added an extra year to her age presumably because of the eight(?) months Goku and Kuririn spent training. I have not added anything. AGE 749 is the hunt for the dragon balls and AGE 750 is the first tourn...

Re: Are the characters younger in DBS Broly?

She's 16 at the start of the series, 19 at the second tournament Your math gets off right in the beginning. There used to be a three-year timeskip between tournaments, which means 22º World Martial Arts Tournament take places three years after the 21º World Martial Arts Tournament. Bulma is actuall...

So your counter-argument is "La la la la I can't hear you"? Well, I'm convinced.

Yeah I'll continue to believe people who can do basic math and back up their points, cheers.

Re: Are the characters younger in DBS Broly?

I did the math. For the record at no point in the series is the year ever mentioned. I'm going strictly off what was stated in the manga and the anime material Toriyama wrote himself. Not fan speculation. Future Trunks, referring to the year Cell came from: " Age 788... three years further in the f...

Welp. It's gonna be a little weird seeing the dubbed version of DBS: Broli this weekend. I've heard stuff of this ilk about Mignogna on and off for years. Even if you do take him at his word that kissing fans is a "no different from family members"-type deal for him... dude. 15-year-old strangers ar...

Re: Are the characters younger in DBS Broly?

But Bulma being 38 actually adds up. No it doesn't. Bulma is 16 at the start of the series in Age 749. Battle of Gods takes place in Age 778. You do the math. I think what throws everyone off is the half hour special from 2009. That took place two years after they defeated Buu. It was streamed worl...

This also means we can finally have a team of 3 women in FighterZ...and two of them are assisted by men. Caulifla/Kefla can't be announced soon enough. This kind of thinking is so asinine I really wonder if you're just trolling here. Why? Personally I think it's a fair point. Of course, we all know...

Re: "Dragon Ball FighterZ" Official Discussion Thread

Woo-hoo! Video was on my wish list (the over-abundance of sausage needed addressing). Gogeta and NuBroli weren't, as they're basically palette swaps for characters that are already in the game... but they were kind of inevitable so meh. I'm sure they'll still be fun. Jiren is again another super-exp...
