Re: Where to Now For the Dragon Ball Video Game Franchise?

To anyone who thinks that there should be no DragonBall games for three or four years: Do you think that anyone who doesn't visit these kind of sites would care once the game finally came out? The series has been slowly losing revelance over the past couple of years. Kai brought some awareness to th...

Re: Gero and Tao Pai Pai

It would be a perfect arrangement for Gero. Get some extra cash and get to continue his work. What was Tao charging, like 50 million per head for his services? And he all of his saved money?

Gero and Tao Pai Pai

How possible is it that cyborg Tao Pai Pai could have been one of the earlier cyborg-based works of Gero? He could be one of the unknown numbered "creations" from #9 - #12. I would figure that there's not too many individuals on the planet skilled enough to do this sort of procedure. Although, I cou...

Re: Dragon Ball Kai Heroes: Console Version

If anything they'd bump up the resolution and release it as a downloadable game on the Xbox and PlayStation. To businessmen and shareholders, the Wii won this generation of consoles. But to gamers who play video games, it's the opposite. Of the 1200 games released for it only 20 are truly worth owni...

Re: Dragonball Blue Bricks $20 Each @ Wally World

Thanks for the heads up. I just placed an order for the Season Three and Four bundle and Season Five. For a total of $53. I was waiting for the FYE B1G1F Anime Sale around the time as some convention but no one except the one clerk seemed to know anything about it. I would have spent around the same...

Re: Why didn't they just wish for planet Namek to be restore

The Nameks don't seem like the type to take the Dragon Balls for granted and use them as a reset button. Or else they would have used them to revert original Namek back to the way is was before the catastrophe.

Re: What does Cell do if he wins?

Iirc Piccolo mentions that he's be a threat to the whole univers because of his Freeza's DNA, but as mentioned, I doubt he'd be interested in things like starting an empire. He'd look for stronger opponents, but would probably be pretty destructive in doing so. A lot of scenarious come to mind, thi...

Re: HD Remakes of DBZ Games

They already have done HD remakes. They were called Burst Limit and Raging Blast. Okay, jokes aside, I don't really see anyone going out of their way to buy one of the older games in HD when they already essentially have that, give or take a few die-hard fans of the first Budokai games. In fact, I ...

Dragon Ball movie four pack: Was it re-dubbed?

I have the previous three pack and recently saw the four pack with the first movie included. I've also seen the first movie by itself. So, have the other movies been re-dubbed?

Re: We'll never get that 2D fighter we've been dreaming of

All that Atatri's license said was that they were allowed to sell the game in North America. Heck, FUNi has a bigger say in any Dragonball game's release than Atari ever did.

Re: Would we accept it?

I'm not very familiar with it, but how was the Dr. Slump remake/reboot recieved? How has FullMetal Alchemist's anime only fans accepted Brotherhood? How many other series have had remakes and reboots within a relatively shoprt amount of time?

Re: We'll never get that 2D fighter we've been dreaming of

The only thing Atari had was the lisence to sell a game in a specific region of the world. They held no trademark on any images or logos or anything. The developers made the game. The publishers provided the funds to make the game. The distibutors are the ones allowed to sell the product. Sometimes ...

Re: Would we accept it?

Seriously, for me the perfect remake would be a show with no more than 100-120 episodes, with a faster pacing, new animation and a consistent art style (that doesn't change with every episode) true to the source material. Is that with or without the original Dragon Ball? The way I figure it, if the...

Re: Would we accept it?

FullMetal Alchemist Brotherhood is one of the reasons I made this topic. It took me quitye a few episodes to shake the "It's so different" feeling I had while watching it. Then I watched the live action Tekken movie. I was reminded of how people were reacting to Evolution's initial info tidbots just...

Would we accept it?

If the Dragonball series recieved a remake, would we accept it? New pacing, new music, new voices, new/different stories, ect.

Some didn't enjoy Kai because it was too different from the regular series.

Who would you trust to helm it?

Re: We'll never get that 2D fighter we've been dreaming of

The Sparking/Raging Blast series is fun but there are probably more Dragonball fans who want a more traditional fighting experience. If that were true Super DBZ probably would have been a bigger success. I think the problem there was that by that time people were used to having 60 characters in eac...

Re: Topics you are sick of

I think the problem is that when you go to a "discussion forum" you're looking to discuss stuff. You kind of feel compelled to do so in each and every topic. After a while you just get tired of the same tired topics. Once you get to the point where you screen topics, you might end up dismissing over...

Re: We'll never get that 2D fighter we've been dreaming of

Capcom's Marvel fighting games better represent the over the top craziness of Dragonball better than Mortal Kombat. (Also, have you noticed how all of the praise that Mortal Kombat has been recieving is based on everything but the actual fighting system? What's there ro do once you unlocked all of t...
